Our best player at the moment.0

Thought we were very fortunate to keep a clean sheet today, given some of the pretty clear sights on goal that we have up.4

He can sign a pre-contract with a team outside of England in a couple of weeks time. Wonder if his agent has any contacts in Hungary?1

He can’t do it on his own0

7 games without him, 1 clean sheet. (Burton)
(Last two don’t count because Mansfield’s strikers are shit and Northampton’s whole team is shit)3 -
For me player of the year. The whole team is more solid with him playing.9

Yep. It cannot be a coincidence that we’ve kept 3 clean sheets in a row with him back in the team.1

It's good that we have a genuinely strong defence when he's leading it but still worrying just how dependant on him that back 4 is.
He's very good but he can't do it alone.2 -

Give him a new contract & make him captain from next season.21

Give him decent contract, lose him and we go backwards, best we've had for a few years at the valley!2

So nearly another clean sheet but for a brief moment of quality from Kone who looked a dangerous player.0 -
Pay him whatever he wants.5

Eating a huge slice of humble pie with Jones, never saw this type of player in him last season, but he has been very very good this season. Keep him fit, you never know!!

We desperately need to keep him, I've no idea how contract negotiations are going, but with every game he plays, his worth increases.
I'm not comparing him to Rodri obviously, but Rodri's worth has been proven by how bad City have been without him, and the same difference can be seen in our defence with and without Jones.3 -

Would be madness to lose him but sadly might happen given some of our crazy negotiations.1
-
It would be a massive signal from the owners that they are not very ambitious if they flog him. ATM we have a decent shot at promotion without him we have none as we won’t replace him with anyone equal in January5

Apparently all bids thus far, including 2 from championship teams, have been rejected. One fan saying 750k rejected from Wycombe.7

If we are turning down bids from Championship clubs you would think the chances of him signing another contract with us in L1 are next to zero as he will.leave for free in the summer.
Back to hoping we find a way to improve in the January window, get in the play offs and win them as him, Leaburn and Small are 3 players who can step up to the Championship and all will be gone if we don't go up.4
