The lines may have looked a bit "iffy" to the likes of you and me, mere mortals, and it may have seemed as though the ball came off an Everton player, but that's because we are just idiots.
I mean, it's funny because it's Arsenal, but I thought you had to be playing the ball forward in order to be offside. The Arsenal player is trying to knock it square and its the Everton player who plays it back.

Apparently this is an urban myth and isn't actually in the rule book.
Just obviously if you're passing it backwards, the other player is usually stood behind the ball (which would mean not offside).
I can never remember a time in PL history when there have been so many completely hopeless & out of their depth teams in it.
The bottom 6 have so far played 27 games between them and so far only picked up 8 points between them! Only Wolves have managed to win so far - and that was when they beat Everton. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder if the only games the bottom 6 will win is when they play a fellow bottom 6 team.
Chelsea must be so glad that the bottom 6 are so hopeless!
Same as their wankpuppet fans accusing other teams of buying success etc. when that exactly what they've been trying to do over the last 20/30 years too

Everton who stayed up two years ago with 39 points and last year with 36 points, might be able to stay up with even less this time around.
Luton might get the odd surprise result at Kenilworth Road but their squad just screams championship. Everton look a shambles and it doesn't feel like Sheffield United quite got their summer business right , although I like Gustavo Hamer from Coventry as a signing.
I'd feel sick if I were a Sheffield United fan. The extension of injury time coupled with the unlimited substitutions only helps the big teams with big squads.
That would have been a massive 3 points for the Blades.
Sheffield United have nearly got some decent results, which suggests they have a (small) chance of staying up this season.
An important game tonight. Most people thought Burnley would be ok this season, but they're still to get off the mark. They've had 3 tough games to be fair, but lose at Forest, and the positive vibes from last season could easily vanish.
Julian Alvarez - 6 games this season, just the 4 goals and 4 assists. Cost City £14m but was offered to United first. The club that paid £72m for Hojlund, £82m for Anthony, £73m for Sancho, £35m for van de Beek and £55m for Mount turned down that opportunity. He's 23 - and frighteningly the same age as Haaland and Foden with both Gvardiol and Doku two years younger and Lewis still only 18. What's that saying about price and value?

This is what City still do better than other "super rich clubs" - more often than not even when they spend huge amounts they are still investing in players that can/will improve even further or at the very least won't be losing value.
Whereas the likes of Man U, Real Madrid, PSG overspend on players that have already peaked (e.g Casemiro) or are more "complete" but at the cost of having less room for improvement. (E.g. Doku is already good, Guardiola will probably take him up another level. Mount is already good... but will probably not ever get much better than his current level.)
Seem to get players in at about 23, 24, get their best years then sell at a profit at 29, 30.
Liverpool are good at it too.
Chelsea are trying similar I guess with the ages of the players they are signing, problem is they seem to be not scouting them much and then overpaying too.

How?

Seems the rulebook is written by people that don't play the game.

They'll likely be saved by having three teams worse than them this season.

Feels a bit corporate golf day.
Best League in the World
"They've scored!"
"OK let's find something wrong with it".
