you fill ya boots, seen this little scenario where someone says something you don’t like and a little group start getting precious on here. Did you enjoy the game noticed you havent mentioned it, obviously other things on your mind. Say whatever you like to try and put me down, I shall sleep soundly.😂😂 Twat.
    Their.

I usually couldn't give a fuck about grammar but if you're gonna call people a twat for presenting an opposite opinion on a discussion forum you'd better get it right.

The boardroom bar bill was in black and white. 😉
Good point, I'd forgotten that.  Quite a lot of black ink used on bit of white paper  ;)
Taking it a bit far to have the bar bills redacted!!  😉

I would have thought any new investor would want to see we will still be a championship team next season so will soft pedal for a few months now.  If we were 10th+ someone might have taken a punt but a few points off the bottom 3 and on a rotten run I am not sure there would be a great rush.

Always a mystery to me how people can end up slagging each other off on here. We're talking about some guys in red shirts (trying) to kick a ball into a net. We will disagree on the best way to do that, but if we all agreed there would be no forum.

With the eternally good advice of the YoungBloods:

"Come on people now, smile on your brother / Everybody get together / Try to love one another right now"

Cawley did say on his podcast that it won't be a quick thing and likely won't be done before the summer.

Did Methven run up a £10k bar bill or some horrific piss taking Matt south all type liberty , I would have had him down as having more sense than to take the piss like that

    £6k with his mates.

    Me too TBH.

He did, as I've already said, do some good but he over promised, under delivered and he just isn't a CEO.

But he's certainly not an out and out crook like Southall

A question for those who might be aware, the current share holders are selling a 20% stake in the company that owns the club. So what level of share ownership would the EFL fit and proper persons regulations come into play or the IFO take a look.

So that will add 4weeks or more to the time the sale is completed.

Unless they've already passed the test previously or taken a similar one

I thought it was 5% but certainly it will be less than 20% mentioned by Matt Slater.
  • If our owners were sold a dream of Championship by next season and an ability to cut losses to £2M once there, will they hang around if we are relegated having seen the cut of losses was nonsense and being back in L1 so behind schedule in that outcome.... rhetorical really as only they know the answer.

Would they have been that naive to have believed it, as they weren’t all new to sports club ownership? Surely they would have weighed up the pros and cons. Any new investment I’d imagine would be in view of the longer game, especially if we end up going down.

I think any new investment will be bolstering the coffers , the main 3 are all very wealthy in their own right but that extra investment will be crucial if we stay up in terms of competing with the next tier of clubs in terms of spending and moving away from the likes of Oxford and Pompey.

I think the ambition of the current big money men will become more clear, hopefully they want to stay the course, which at the moment looks like they want to, just need to get up the table a bit.

They have said that we are ahead of schedule ie we got promoted earlier than planned.

So that could mean they were'nt expecting to fund Championship losses this season but I've not seen or heard anything (not that I would) to suggest they arent still committed.

Plus he oversaw the worst league position in our history.
Worst in living memory yes, worst in our history, no as we finished 2nd bottom of Division 3 South in 1926.

Thank you, Henry. We are fortunate to have someone like you from that era still alive and active to testify.
