When Bowyer resigned on March 15th 2021, we were 8th in League One, two points outside the top six.

He had just guided us to four games unbeaten following a tough Xmas spell that saw us drop from 6th to 12th.
The XI that played in Bowyer’s last game in charge:

Amos, Gunter, Famewo, Pearce, Maatsen, Morgan, Pratley, Watson, Millar, Washington, Stockley
Jesus wept, I can say with 100% confidence we have a better starting XI now. Only Amos and the two centre halves work their way into our side now imo
Erm... Maatsen is on the bench in the Premier League

Liam Millar was @ the World Cup, and is in the Swiss Top Flight.
Maatsen is 3 times the player now that he was then. It was his first loan. He had promise but has 4 seasons of championship football since then.

Millar was also an enigma. Very similar player to CBT to be fair. I did like him though.
Yeah I know Chelsea are a bit of a shitshow themselves at the moment, with players etc. but it feels like he's come out of nowhere since his Burnley loan.

(Only two years on loan in the Championship though, which is a surprise as does feel longer since he was here)
My bad, was thinking about Maatsen but got confused about the season he was with us 👍

Wouldn’t want Bowyer, it was toxic when he left and they say never go back. In my opinion it wouldn’t end well.

Don't think it was ever going to happen, unfortunately.

Jason Pearce will win a couple of games and will be appointed as manager. You just know it will happen.

They misread the text, it said Lee but Lee Johnson not Bowyer

Someone obviously told Andy Scott about the time Bow's played Smyth at wing back.

Leam Richardson, Darren Moore, got promoted with the highest spending teams.
I believe Richardson is on the shortlist
How is that possible, if the 'Skint' brigade are to be believed?
Certain set of fans been against the group from day 1 and always going to say that.. Holden just cost 500K to sack.

Those fans, also believe Holden is blameless. For me, it is both parties, we haven't got enough players through the door, that is either because we haven't sold the club well enough, or didn't want to work with Holden.

Holden wanted a smaller squad of around 16 players, plus academy players coming through, he got his main man in May, despite better options being available to sign.

Not sure many clubs in league One have spent as much as us this year in transfer fees, loan fees or signing on fees.

Suppose the next appointment and the type of contact, will suggest if they are skint or not!
Who were the better options available than May?
Smith, Lapo, JHC, Nombe, Stansfield was all ahead of May, and we enquired about all of them before we signed May!
Apologies I'm somewhat behind & I should imagine this has already been discussed.
But we clearly refused to offer more than £500k for Nombe, so how is it possible to claim with a straight face that JCH £3M, Nombe £1.5M, Stansfield & possibly Smith & Ladapo were better options that we were going to sign?
Why not include Harry Kane, Haaland & Messi, even better options.
    I've never heard such bullshit.

Edit - I've now read a page or too more and am pleased to see that Scoham & Henry Irving pulled this nonsense apart.

Not that Bows is coming on, but I wonder what his stock value is compared to other managers outside the Prem. He's clearly not going to be offered a job at a top end championship club, as he'd  already be there. I actually think he's a sentimental bloke, hence hon returning to old clubs he's played at. They say better the devil you know. Wonder what he'd demand in salary? Sadly our SMT don't know him (or do they) so who do they know??

Erm... Maatsen was not the same player now he was then it's incomparable.

Liam Millar was @ the World cup yes...along with loads of other bang average players. The Swiss top flight is probably on par with Scottish top flight, I'd say maybe worse.

If you think that line up is strong you're having a laugh

The sass right back at ya  ;)

It was chippy who I have met and know and is 100% a solid life long supporter and definitely not a wum.  If he got a text, then I believe he got a text.  (He is a grumpy git tho’)

Now Cawley has poured cold water on Bowyer, here’s another name to throw in the hat.

ITTV saying Neil Lennon is in talks for the role this eve.
He’s in the sky sports studio currently.

We are all having our proverbials tickled by a man in pink trousers with no money in the pockets

    Ferguson, Powell, Bowyer,?

Do me a favour. The guy is full of it.

It will be a possible partnership of Steve Brown, Minto and Curbs next.

I don’t think it’s fair to name the individual poster who received the text but it was Chippy.
