I don’t see any benefit to the club in paying off Chuks unless of course we’ve reached an agreement that reduces our financial commitment to him. The question I would ask is why Chuks would agree to such an arrangement, he’s done nothing wrong and is entitled to receive his wages until his contract ends. That’s what I’d expect and do. The second question is why if he’s been paid off, have the club not announced it. It’s hardly detrimental to either party.
No point paying him off, he'll play a few more games, help keep us up then it's goodbye in the summer.
Or renew him on a 3 year as an off the bench impact sub? 🤔
Can guarantee that if he has a 7-8 game run at the end of the season and does well there will be someone saying 'let's keep him, we're a better side when he comes on'.
A prime & fit Chuks is too good for our level, unfortunately for him and us, I don't think we will see either again.
We all know he isnt fit enough to play, his body is breaking more and more. At some point out of ethical consideration we have to say to him "we are not going to do this anymore", think about what he is doing to his body with every injury and how it will effect him as he gets older. Equally if you can put morals aside and say well we pay him, ok thats fine but we would probably spend more on him through resources use than when he would earn on the pitch for us.
Due to his constant lack of availability I don’t think he will attract a fee anymore. Maybe put him for sale on eBay. Hardly used, low mileage, engine work needs attention.

Any reasonable offer accepted.
I would think he'll get a gig at a non-league club.

Jesus, you wouldnt want to be a non-league defender for even 1 minute with chuks on the pitch, even if he was on crutches
For me, we have looked better every time he has come on this season. Even if he is on the wane, I don't see any benefit to paying up his contract. Such a shame, when he played a few consecutive games at the start of the season I naively thought the medical team may have cracked the root of the problem(s).

It's not even the same injury, he seems to get different ones. Last season he was out for ages because of his hamstring, now it's his groin. The guy is broken.
Just a shame that some players have such bad luck with injuries. Reece James is a more high profile example, he can't string more than 5 games together now. Mason Mount as well, he's been at Man U for 18 months and yesterday was apparently his 7th different injury.
Lets get the paying off Chuks Aneke debate going again please. Need to hash this one out once and for all!
It’s been raised again because a poster says there’s a rumour that he’s already been paid off. Think that’s worth a comment or two.
Ive heard a rumour that Alfie May has been disturbing his new neighbours in Solihull by deploying his leaf blower at ungodly hours. I presume that is also worth a comment or two?

A fee!
Can't imagine he'll get a contract anywhere after this season, who will sign a player who can play about 200 minutes a season?

No official source so take it with a pinch of salt but there's rumours he's already been paid off. Looking forward to seeing him at a new club in January and playing every game for the rest of the season for them.
He was training with the squad on Friday so would be surprised

Did he remember what to do it’s been so long? ☹️
Does anyone in the squad remember what to do? (been a minute since we won a game by more than one goal)
Would not be surprised if Chuks comes on Boxing Day and scores the winner in a drap game against Cambridge (if he does that lets give him the Last Christmas chant this year)
