Chaos in Bartram's after the game. Two blokes and a supervisor behind the jump when we got in, supervisor disappeared to change the Peroni barrel, no pre-poured pints of course. One till down so they were only serving at one end of the bar, until someone pointed out that you can actually serve people without the till in the immediate vicinity working... Peroni back on, but then it appeared the gas had gone. More sodding about while the two fellas were left to serve everyone.

After a while another supervisor arrived with reinforcements, but the two girls with her said they were not allowed to serve anyone... I can only assume they had to be logged onto the tills, as eventually they did start serving.

I had already spotted they had no bitter, so ordered an IPA and a white wine - no white wine... Red wine? No red wine... Rose? Bingo!

As a side note, we also noticed that the tables and floor clearly hadn't been cleaned from the previous session either.
  • Nothing has changed in the Alan Curbs stand. The service is abysmal but I can’t blame the people serving, they seemingly haven’t been told that speed is a necessity.

I got to the front of the queue and the lady who was about to serve me was staring at the conversation the bloke next to me was having with his server. I had to shout twice “hello can you serve me please?” before she noticed me (I was right in front of her and next to be served). She apologised and then took an eternity to get a bottle of water and portion of chips.

I was going to have a beer but the pre poured pints looked flat.

Genuinely can’t believe the lack of urgency or management behind the till. Gather & Gather need sacking off sharpish.

Back in Fans Bar for Blackburn game.  Service as bad as ever.  Lots of milling around then poured 2 IPAs when asked for 1 IPA and 1 Stout...the guys just look totally uninterested in what they are doing - appreciate its probably just a casual, minimum wage job but most of them seem to have no idea how to pull a pint or provide decent customer service.

So I will temper the allegations of terrible service post game by saying that the service at half time was really good yesterday.

I have found service in the fans zone and the concourse at half time has been much better lately. The addition of the Meantime kiosk in the North upper is a great idea.

I hope they can improve the service in Bartrams bar,  it was glacial slow after the match yesterday no urgency in the two staff who they had behind the bar, yes just two.
After 10 to 12 mins I gave up and left as they had hardly delt with those ahead of me.
  • Was in fan zone before and after game .Much improved since Watford game and all round good experience - but please do something about the shit music. For old farts like me it’s just awlful

I like garage music but I have no idea why they play it in the Fan Zone before every game.

The fan zone is presumably for the majority of fans.
I am in a minority that dislikes the ‘music’ that sounds like bashing yourself over the head with a tin tray, and to me the ‘food’ is horrible.
There ought to be an old gits zone playing Led Zeppelin and selling fresh fruit cocktails and Gales Ale.
  • Surely this feedback has to be forwarded to the relevant Senior Manager who oversees G &G operations but copying in Ed Warrick who I believe showed them a yellow card after the Watford match. This really isn't good enough.

But, once again, who IS that elusive "Pimpernel" ?

I understand that what used to be called The Fans' Forum " but is now known as "The Supporter Forum" is due to hold their twice yearly meeting soon. I would urge those who have actual experience of the ongoing issues in Crossbars to seek out one of the fans' representatives to bring this issue to the attention of THE CLUB. I'm unsure who attends these meetings to represent the club but this needs to be done directly , NOT via one of the other FIVE componenets of the Fan Engagement Framework as per the "Fans " link on the OS.

IMO, another example of the "too many cooks " saying which indicates that if too many people are involved in a process, it will fail....I'm sure those who volunteer in these groups & who give up their time to represent the fans, do so with the expectation that they will be listened to and in some instances,  positive steps will result & may then be fed back to the faithful. That important word that I seem to emphasise at least once a week on here is,again, communication.

So, 2 issues have arisen already this season, which affect the life blood of our club directly.

The catering/Fans' Bar failures and of course the Millwall debacle.

We can flag up our concerns via social media but unless someone, employed in a senior role , takes responsibility for taking relevant action, we're wasting our breath.

PS. If you feel this is the best pathway for your views to be heard, you'll need to contact one of the Fan Groups' reps to request they include your issue in the agenda for the upcoming meeting. The only way that I can see of establishing who those reps are is to click on "Fans", then "Supporter Groups", then on the empty map which should advise which groups are still in existence. From there, it's an email to ascertain whether said Group will have a rep in attendance at the forthcoming meeting & if so, request that they bring your concerns to the attention of the club that evening. I suggest that you give examples of your own experiences & that you ask for feedback in writing/email within a stated period of time which can then be shared with other fans. Good luck !

Ditto. Could provide a mix of tunes and tunes that get the whole crowd going instead of feeling like im in an early 2000’s garage nightclub 😂

They play to their tastes and not the crowd/age group around them, it’s ridiculous the nonsense they play.
  • Perkalicious owner Alex here. I just want to say a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your amazing support in these 3 games that I have been back in the fans bar this season. I have been so much busier than last season and with the cold drawing in i will be even busier and im so grateful! Dont forget your Loyalty card as it means your 10th drink is on me! So please spread the word around the stadium to your Charlton friends if you need a barista style latte, capaccino, americano with maybe a nice carmael or hazelnut syrup, organic tea or hot chocolate, cookie , Muffins and different cakes i will be in the fans bar all season long serving everyone with a smile and enthusiasm always!!

I am also interested in the future where else people think coffee maybe  needed during match days too?

I am going to try the ladies game on the 12th! If that goes well I will do those aswell.

Cant wait for the Sheffield Wednesday game!! Come on Charlton!!! You were incredible yesterday!!!

Why don't people boycott it for one game.  I do appreciate that people take their kids in there and it's easier for the older generation.

But... They don't care and things won't improve unless fans do something about it... Ie stay away.

Any chance you could make those cocktails less easy to get down.
