Would have preferred A. Campbell on the right rather than Tinnie but can't see Reading giving us as much trouble as Blackpool so shouldn't be too exposed down that side.
Watson has had more time to get up to speed as well which will help.
I've said it multiple times, you look at the squad we have and who isn't even in the 18 still, and you see why Holden went so early. I know he had injuries to deal with, but pound for pound we have such a strong squad compared to 90% of the league.
We need to capitalise on it and continue to push up the table
Adds height in both boxes, doesn't play as a conventional line-hugging winger, creates space for the unmarked overlapping full back.
TC can come on later as Plan B and pose different problems to a tiring defence.
Yeah, I can actually see the logic behind Tedic starting - not to say that I am 100% sure it will actually work that way in practice but Appleton has to get at least a little bit of benefit of the doubt given his current record.
It's also possible that Tedic has shown a particularly strong attitude in training or conversely that TC has not and this is making some sort of point to the players, but that's just pure supposition.
I get Tedic on the right. He's there to harry, to use his physicality to tire out the opposition and to provide a lopsided threat by cutting in a lot. You don't get that with Campbell, you get a direct winger who isn't going to rough up the opposition backline as much. It's a pretty thankless role for Tedic, he might get a ball arrive for him in the box that he can put away but mostly he's there to occupy the left back and the centre back in a way that stops Chuks being doubled up on and gives May space to work in. Then we can bring Leaburn or Campbell on for him later in the game when there's gaps and hopefully watch him profit from Tedic's work

A Campbell? Alan was good for sure but a bit old now in his mid late seventies
A minute’s silence for what the club announced as “the innocent victims of the ongoing and devastating events in Israel and Palestine”. Someone in the away end then shouted “Free Palestine” which was met with both boos and cheers #cafc

Don't get Twice on the wing.
Worry about Aneke starting on a slippy surface, seems unnecessary.
Would he preferred Assimwe.
But on the other hand, Leaburn did struggle a bit in the Blackpool game - maybe a couple of things needed tweaking?

And away we go, kicking towards the Seedy Jim Stand.
First freek kick goes against Chuks after he refused to be manhandled by a defender.
For anyone wondering about an update

Offside, Reading. Harlee Dean tries a through ball, but Sam Smith is caught offside.
