Michael Hector is the problem eh
    They're all problems.
We can't defend as a team against anyone and for all his experience Appleton has made f-all difference.
To be fair to him one of the first things he said was that the types of players we had meant we were defensively weak.

    Can’t change that until January.

So we have a rebuild every summer? - Because the individuals dont hit the ground running... There is zero stability in this Squad, because thats the approach we've been taking with Managers and Players since 2018/19
Yeah let's keep 31 year old Hector because he's definitely going to improve year on year.
    Thought they were all problems?

Instead you name someone who isnt even playing today
  • How the fuck Asimwe and Campbell have pro contracts I’ll never know. Both absolute dog shit

I think we've got about 8 senior players contracted after this season so it's definitely a rebuild

The defense. It's why Hector is out yet we're no better.

    Asiimwe, Ness, Maynard-Brewer.

Maybe our esteemed academy isn't as great as we paint it up to be.

All 3 have been absolutely fucking useless today

Gills could be doing Apples a favour to force a decent spending spree.

To give some credit Gillingham know how to press.

Feel like we've not had the quality to beat a press since Bowyer took us up.

you have to as clearly they are not good enough. when they gave Hector another year contract and he became our best defender I knew we were in trouble. You cant keep over hauling players i understand, but when you are left with dead wood and some youngsters you're gonna have to.

He can make us more solid in midfield though rather than pick 4 attacking players who can't defend and leave 2 in the middle to do all the work.

Ahh, knew there was a plan somewhere...

And still isn't good enough consistently to be in a League One playoff team.

Asiimwe isn't quite ready, sure. TC has shown, at times, that he can make a difference
