This is going to be one hell of an interesting day! Can we bowl them out for a total lead of 200 ish? If so, can we then win it? Enthralling viewing I feel.
One thing that's changed about cricket over recent years is India are now so dominant in terms of money that I now find it every bit as funny when India have a collapse as when Australia do. Even a few years ago I'd barely have noticed, today I had a browser window open with the Cricinfo text updates while following England on the main one.
Smith has dropped a sitter. Has to put it behind him but it is the easy drops that defines great keepers. Then Root does the same thing albeit he is closer, doesn't have the gloves and the ball is lower. Poor Carse the victim of both.
The venom of the pitch seems to be seeping away slowly. Perhaps we're learning that the time to bowl spin on a Test pitch is between days 4 and 8, after which the pitch begins to flatten out again..?

114/5 and Pakistan are still in the box seat but...
Joe Root percentage rate of slip catches held are very high but the dropped catches are remembered where the held catches are soon forgotten.
The two dropped catches in one over have hit England hard at a crucial time.
It could be a belter in a couple of weeks' time.
150-7 and a lead of 225
