'May would be great alongside a hold-up striker like Aneke'

    'Sub: May off for Aneke'

    Genius.

Why on earth has he taken May off!? Not that he has had a good game, but he is always likely to score. Mental decision

May finally gets a strike partner then gets subbed.

His head must be on Mars.

    Charlton sub:

    Off: May (WTAF?)

    On: Big Bad Chuks
Tbf May has been off it for some time now, don't blame him as such but understand bringing him off when he's not getting in the right positions, officially Charltonised

Is that Aneke’s odds to last 2 mins?

Looks like Chuks getting his knee support on
Looks like the physio is tightening up the screws in his hip as well.

Aneke involved immediately, Jones it was who chipped the ball into the area and he pokes towards goal - blocked
  • I love watching players just bounce of Chuks.

People won't like it but May has played like Stockley tonight - Anything that's gone into the box and he's stood there with his arms up

Jones chips the ball forward towards Chuks he goes on a run into the area, but it bobbles a bit before he can get a shot off.
  • I complain about May being brought off but I agree with others that he has had very little impact

Also, I suspect the May sub was pre-planned. He didn't look particularly surprised or furious. Suspect he's still carrying a knock.
  • Jones is dead to me. Taking May off is imbecilic. Not even rancid Appleton did that.

Worth seeing what he's like with an actual strike partner.

We are 1-0 down after all, not like we need to be taking our goalscorers off.

I haven't yelled YOU'RE FUCKING RUBBISH at the top of my voice at a player for a while, but Bakinson just brought it out of me

Nice charge back from T Watson to clear back to Isted but the clearance is a bit spooned.
  • This free kick is guaranteed to go in.

First time for a long time we have a real goal scorer and we turn him into Stockley through frustration

Same could have been said about Stockley who was constantly played up top on his own, when he had a Strike partner he was better
