neither Coventry not L Watson did enough last Saturday to justify keeping their place (then again, neither did the other outfield players!)
Do feel a bit for Louie though. His first start in ages, does ok nothing more, then dropped completely. How many games in a row did Fraser get with worse performances?
The guy who served my coffee tonight is Spanish, and an Almeria fan. They're bottom with 7 points (7 draws) from 24 games, making us look like Manchester City
Trying to finish up some work so I can watch the match live but a couple of things: 1) I like the team. I think 10A has looked better on the left because he stays home more and doesn't get caught too wide and too isolated. Excited to see Ramsay. Big hopes for him. And the back three are the three most in-form CBs we have. Gillesphey has been error prone and struggled to finish a game, and he needed to be dropped. I like TT on the left of a back three the best anyway, Jones has looked much better the last couple of weeks, and it's good to see REG back in the backline. I'm not crazy about Kanu up front from the start, I think he works much better as an impact sub, but given the impact he's had, and the complete lack of impact from Ladapo, I can't argue with the decision. We'll see how Anderson does, but I'm glad we didn't go for a midfield three of Dobbo, Coventry, and Bakinson again. We know that doesn't work.
2) CHUKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden that bench looks quite strong. Camara and Chuks alone are game changers, but if Ladapo can find a bit of form coming off the bench then we could look an entirely different side.
3) It's obviously great to see Dobbo back and skippering the side. Whatever came before, whatever happens at the end of the season, it's great to see him in a Charlton shirt again.
I'm with Curbs there regarding George, the fans need the full SP on where we are with George, all this cloak and daggers stuff if ridiculous and needs sorting...
Given the next three games are against the top three, can't help but feel anything but three points means we'll go into March in the drop zone. Surely we have to click at some point?
Glad to see Dobbo back. Obviously no idea why Coventry and L Watson aren't even on the bench. They have done little for themselves on saturdays performance, but then again very few did much of note saturday. For me Edun has looked like a rabbit in the headlights for a while, while Ladapo honestly looks as if Ipswich have kept the real one and sent some guy who looks like him, so no problem about him being benched. Creativity looks in very short supply out there though.
