    Does sort of indicate why Southgate has always tried to be more solid. When we don't have our absolute top players we've very vulnerable to the counter and at the mercy of individual errors

    Watching the game on Saturday with my lifelong City mate, he said he has to play centrally for England to get the best out of him.

    I can accept we are missing a few key players but once again, as soon as we have come up against decent opposition, Southgate hasn't a clue

    I mean this has effectively been England B team apart from Pickford, Rice and Bellingham who are the ones really guaranteed to start.

    The back four should be nothing more than 3rd choice come the Euros
