Should be some great match ups there. Also noted the death yesterday of the legendary Pete Rose who holds the Major League hits record but never made the HOF due to his gambling irregularities.
The BBC's very secret baseball coverage continues on Saturday night. According to the sparse information I can gather, they are covering two games on iPlayer. I am sure the bloody Yankees will be one of the games, which starts at about 23.30. As they have stated "back to back" coverage of two matches, then one can only assume that the Phillies v The Mets will be the other, starting just after 21.00? Unless they cover the Evil Dodgers game at 01.30 on Sunday, but that would seem ridiculous if they are looking for decent viewing figures...
*EDIT* Though the BBC Sport website says coverage on Saturday, the iPlayer website says Monday. I have contacted them to see if I can find out which it is. I shan't hold my breath.
What a comeback by the Mets last night. 2 down they score 4 in the top of the 9th to beat the Brewers 4-2 and progress to play the Phillies in the NLDS. As far as I can see 3 of the 4 games tomorrow are on TNT other than Cleveland/Detroit so some good games to see tomorrow.
Not heard from the Beeb (other than an acknowledgment) But it looks like I was wrong (plus ca change) about the Yankees. Coverage from 18.00 of the Guardians v Tigers followed by Phillies v Mets at 21.00.

That Phillies Mets series is the pick of the lot for me. Old rivalry, two good teams, one built for the playoffs (Phillies), one coming off an incredible comeback win (Mets).
Also, the Tigers aren't exactly the most fun team to watch, but they're red hot atm. I'll take them over the Guardians and then think they might shock someone next round.
Cleveland beat Detroit 7-3 in Game 5 to complete the LCS line up. They play the Yankees in the AL. Dodgers v Mets in the NL. As a Dodgers fan I'm pleased we've got this far but I am very nervy of the Mets. Heart says Dodgers v Yankees, Head says we may well be heading for a Subway series between the two New York teams.

The Diamondbacks completely unravelled in September though, should have been comfortably in the wildcard spots and not having to rely on others
being lazy here, How comes Chris Sale is not starting for Braves in this must win game ?
#1 Yankees v #4 Orioles OR #5 Royals
#2 Guardians v #3 Astros OR #6 Tigers
NL
#1 Dodgers v #4 Padres OR #5 Braves
#2 Phillies v #3 Brewers OR #6 Mets

Come on you Y... Ya... Y... Yan...
No can't do it.
Fuck the Dodgers.
Ah, that's easier...
If the Yankees never win another game it’ll be a thousand years too soon.
And A-Roid played for them, so fuck them again.
