Looks like one of those poor hair transplants. My old PE teacher had one!

Growing a lot slower than the previous pitch, different method I presume.

It was mentioned last night that the new surface has had the first cut.

  • I'm not sure we'll get away with moving the goal at the Jimmy Seed Stand all the way over there. Although some of our previous strikers would have hit the target a lot more if that's where it had always been.
  • Have they made a proper press section in the Upper West?

It's on rollers and moves based on an input from the control room - towards the shot if we are kicking towards the JS and away from the shot if it's the opposition. If it works well then they plan to replicate it at the CE.

It does look that way. Sure it was red seating before. Not sure it needs that many seats, but it gives the club an excuse for smaller attendances.

Have they made the pitch narrower? Those black edges look wider than before?

The black area is going to be astro turf too, I believe it was mentioned before.

The club is thinking ahead to when we're playing in Europe. After all we are near the end of Sandgaard's 5 year plan...

I recall the pitch was shifted slightly away from the Curbs stand a few years ago, presumably to lessen the genuine risk of players colliding with the concrete beam.

Thought it was moved to give it more sunlight so no late Andy D'Urso postponements.
  • The pitch cost a million pounds - reckon you could get that mower for 120 quid.

state of the art pitch but we'll get 2 lumps up top and longball it to them. Should help the opposition at least.
