Derby were the last of the league one teams from this season that will not be in League One next season to announce - with the exception of the playoff winners.
Devante Cole let go (end of contract) by Barnsley .. perhaps he wants too much money to renew .. he's got to be an improvement over some of our recent striker signings .. he's 29 so needs a good deal for his next contract .. I think he'll be in demand from a lot L1 clubs, I'd love him playing for us, a great foil for Alfie May

I know he is mid-30s now, but Waghorn must have played at 15+ clubs by now.

14 as per Wikipedia but if/when he signs for someone else that will make it to 15 including loans. Which is impressive or depressing depending on your perspective I guess.

The deadline for the retained list was yesterday I believe, so Birmingham should be putting that out today. Could get in trouble with the EFL if they don’t.
I assume play off teams get special dispensation?
They must do, yes. But assume it’s a case of they have to announce as soon as practically possible after the play-offs.

Couple of players in this list who would make good signings too.
Plenty of decent free agents to pick up this summer.
Millers boss Steve Evans has met with several transfer targets at AESSEAL New York Stadium throughout the course of the day and is hopeful to confirm the arrival of another signing pending the results of a medical either later this evening or tomorrow.
Steve Evans... decent early transfer dealings... They're going to be challengers. Don't think they'll lose many games. I equally think they'll be playing very attritional football. Still, better attritional and successful than what we've been served up for 3 years.
Didn't take Evans long to bring in players there. I wonder whether they were previous Rotherham targets before he arrived, or players he had been targeting for Stevenage?

Not the most popular of guys but he brings success to clubs and has had a good CV in the lower leagues.

Ate all the popular (and unpopular) pies but he brings success to clubs and has had a good CV in the lower leagues.

and players like signing for him because of his record .. he just MUST be a very good man manager .. he and his long term sidekick Paul Raynor are football's equivalent, of Ant n Dec, Morecambe & Wise or more likely Laurel & Hardy .. they go together like peaches & cream, like a horse & carriage
