Horrible way to go, becoming a shell of the person you were. Far too young, but faced with a level of bravery and stoicism that I could dream of achieving. Plus his friendship with his best mate is the kind of thing we all should want.
This incredible moment inspired me a year later to run the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon only a few weeks ago to raise money for MND in memory of my dad who was taken by the same horrible disease.
Rob Burrow was an incredible human being in the way he fought one of the worst diseases out there, raising millions in the process. He deserves all the praise and accolades that come his way. RIP and sympathy to his lovely young family.

Such sad news R.I.P Rob as well as his family my heart goes out to Kevin Sinfield who should be knighted
I think Kevin does deserve recognition but he would probably not want it without being able to share it with his mate. Could Rob receive one posthumously?
One can't have anything but admiration for Rob Burrow for what he achieved in his short life as both a sportsman and later in his fight to manage the limitations this horrible disease presented him with. Condolences to his wife, Lyndsey and his children as well as his extended family and so many friends including his best mate, Kevin Sinfield. Why neither Rob nor Kevin have been knighted is, perhaps, an argument for another day but jars given how many others are rewarded for doing nowhere near what they have in bringing MND to the attention of and raising money for the cause of fighting it.

Courageous until the end.
