Are we supposed to feel sorry for Fat boy Evens now then , guess that will change when he’s mouthing off down the valley as per usual this season.0

Barton’s Bellend rating is unrelated to that of his targets. It’s just possible that Steve Evans is still a fat prick while Joey Barton is still a gobby prick.6 -

He's back in court again!
JOEY Barton shoved his wife to the floor and kicked her in the head in a drunken row while their kids slept upstairs, a court heard. The former footballer allegedly attacked Georgia Barton at their home in Kew, South West London.
Barton, 41, and Georgia had both drunk "four or five bottles of wine" with two other couples when a row erupted.
Westminster Magistrates' Court heard the ex-Man City star threatened to fight his wife's brother and father in a "verbal disagreement about a family matter".
Barton then "grabbed [Georgia] and pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the head", it was said. The court heard that as a friend tried to intervene, Barton "threw" him off and said "don't disrespect me".
Georgia, who was left with a lump on her forehead and a bleeding nose, called police shortly after 11pm to "report she had been hit by her husband".
During a tearful 999 call played to the court, she said: "Me husband's just hit me in the house. He's in the house, I'm outside." Asked if anything similar had happened before, she said: "No, it's the first time," adding that she had been hit "in the face".
When police arrived at around 11:30pm, Georgia told them: "I've been pushed down and kicked about and stuff. He said he was going to fight with my brother and my dad."
Barton was due to face trial in 2022 after pleading not guilty to assault by beating but this was halted when Georgia retracted her claims. The High Court ruled last year that the trial could go ahead and that the previous decision to drop the case was "wrong in principle".

It's actually kind of impressive. I genuinely didn't think I could think any less of him and yet somehow he still manages to get even worse.
What an absolute waste of oxygen.11 - Sponsored links:

Well I am absolutely shocked at this surprising turn of events, said no-one, ever.6 -
Barton has been found guilty of assault following a trial at Westminster Magistrates' Court. However he avoided a jail term and was instead handed a suspended 12-week sentence and ordered to pay £2,183.
Speaking after the sentencing, Barton said he was "really disappointed" with the verdict and plans to appeal it at the High Court.
And the part i'm sure everyone will be really shocked by....."The former footballer admitted he was someone that "on occasion" might lose his temper." No shit.

Why would he appeal this verdict - will cost him a shitload more than £2k. Must be he wants to protect his reputation.5

And yet there are some that will still hold him up as some bastion of common sense and values etc.2

As is common sadly.5 - Sponsored links:

Imagine getting booted in the shwede, and not having anyone in your family who cares enough about you to go round and end the little c**t who did it.6
-
I doubt he will appeal, It’s just bluster for the short term. This won’t stay in the news cycle for long and he’ll go back to whatever it is he does.

I’ve always liked Barton. Just feel like he’s a bastion of common sense and values etc.21

The sad thing is his wife is still with him. Barton has violence ingrained in his DNA and when mixed with alcohol, it's only a matter of time before he strikes out again.

It’s always the one’s you suspect most isn’t it?1

In Barton's case yes, but many 'successful' men are violent to wives, partners or Children and this was always going to get worse during lockdown, though not in Barton's case as he has always been a thug and various thing could trigger his propensity to strike out.0 -

Joey Barton...
25 March 2025, 5:28pm: "I intend to appeal this decision to a higher court, the crown court and whilst this process is ongoing that’s all I will say on the matter."
26 March 2025, 10:40am: "If you don’t get a jury of your peers in this country, you don’t get a fair trial. Even then with this politicisation of the judiciary system, you’re up against it. And we all laugh at Russia and North Korea! Britain is no longer a country of law."5
