  • The old back flick from a corner and Van Dijk heads home. 1-1

Merino misses a great chance from a quality ball in.

  • Bet there’s half and half scarfs at Arsenal Liverpool..
  • Liverpool look exceptional attacking on the break. Arsenal's incisive passing between their front 3 to open up spaces. Man City slower paced than either but keep the ball effortlessly.

Could be any of them for the title this season.

Neither Liverpool player touches the ball, no foul though?

Saka clearly the best player on the pitch but wonder if he can last the 90.

I did think that Konate got a touch on it, if you meant the penalty?

Does the second player sliding though the back not exist if Konate gets a touch though? Surely they both have to touch the ball for neither to be a foul.
  • When I watch these Premier League matches I always think how much of a completely different sport it looks compared to what I see at the Valley. I wonder what the score would be if we played a Liverpool, Arsenal or City and they were playing their best team, full pelt.
  • What a ball in from Rice!

Man U beat Barnsley 7-0 in the league cup and a mixture of Arsenal's first team/reserves put 5 past Bolton, so that gives you some idea of the gulf in class.

I think if City/Liverpool/Arsenal played their best teams and went for it, then we'd do well to keep them to 5-0.

Merino is onside because of Van Dijk.

VAR having a good day but that was far too long.
  • That looks a mess of an onside / offside decision to make, given the melee of players

they both touched the ball so not sure what you’re on about there
  • What happened to semi automated offsides and all this guff disappearing.

I was wondering that, as thought the system we were saw in the Euros was being used this season
  • Ahh just see it's coming 2025

So much better than the shit we have. They use it in La Liga and you get a decision miles quicker.

already delayed once, wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to just hold off until next season
  • That was fucking brilliant from Saka.
Great finish but was pretty poor play from Robertson, first to play him onside and then to let him cut inside.

Anyone else think Van Dijk was lucky early on not to at least get a booking? Kicked out twice at Havertz off the ball and somehow didn't even get a yellow.
Absolutely. This ref is proactively trying to keep his cards in his pocket, which pisses me off enormously because he doesn’t do this in every game. It feels like there’s a trend of refs not giving bookings in “big” games where they probably would in less glamourous games because the backlash from the ‘Everyone’s Against Us’ brigade is so obnoxiously loud.
The irony is that although the fans of the big sides are the ones that cry, whine and bleat the loudest, they get far more favours from the refs than teams like Wolves, Fulham, Leicester etc.

Think they should... Doesnt seem right to have something that big come in half way through the season

    Cab for EtH?
    No cancel the booking.

ETH needs to be given a minimum of 3 more years. Preferably five.

His work there is an absolute joy to behold at the moment.
Unless they sack him and bring Southgate in that would guarantee a visit to the championship
  • Arteta started 3 players out of position to avoid playing Kiwior and after 55 minutes, Kiwior is on.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the powers that be at United (copyright biggest club in the world) decided ETH needed an assistant and appointed Southgate to that role?

Because most of the Arsenal defenders can play in more than one position and he feels their ahead of the Polish player Jakub Kiwior who can play LB or CB.

Has Timber ever finished a game for Arsenal ?

    Lewis-Skelly comes on.
  • Brilliant goal

The quality on show today, including some of the football in the Chelsea v Newcastle match has been wonderful. I know the commercialisation of the Prem gets on a lot of people’s nerves but this is an incredible league.
  • Brilliant goal

    ??
    😂
I forgot I was 6 minutes behind but thought that TAA would be involved despite not having his best game and yes he was.
  • lol!... Drury saying that the game was dead long before Arsenal made it 3-2

Did he not hear the whistle? - Wasnt sure why they were playing on for so long
  • Crowd celebrating must have seriously bad eyes if they didn't see the ref blow for a foul 10 minutes before it went in the net 🤣
