Very happy with this. Stood out for Hull in midfield when they got promoted.
6 goals 4 assists he got the year they went up. 7 goals 8 assists he got for Shrewsbury a couple of years before that in L1.1 -
Box to Box CM, will free up Berry to play in the 10. A midfield 3 of Coventry, Docherty and Berry should be very decent - nice blend of differing attributes too. Reckon we may need one more CM/CAM to provide competition alongside Taylor and Anderson.

Sounds like the B2B we've been missing last couple of seasons. Would like a proper AM/ 10 in to compete.with Berry and finish off the central midfield positions.

Again the owners have put their hands in their pocket and backed the manager . I don’t think any other league 1 club has been as proactive this summer with the quality of signings.19

Really good signing, best of the bunch.
The kind of signing you'd expect a newly promoted team to make to adjust to the championship.
Probably means no Dobson, as it's pretty much a like for like, with Docherty potentially offering more.
If Coventry can kick on this season, combined with Berry and Docherty, that's a pretty decent midfield on paper.

The proof of the cake is in the eating. Fair play to the board for backing Jones and for his choices. Apart from those that have left, I'm happy to see how this lot get on from August. There will be plenty of competitors for the top 6 so we need a good start. Now that Jones has the nucleas of his squad, I hope we could get maybe 1 or 2 cherries on the cake!2
