Is it just me or have the swiss purposely not made further subs because they know what Southgate is like? Can't remember a game like it with so few sub breaks (ed with extra time in mind i mean)

England don’t, imo, look as fresh in comparison to the Slovakia game. Slovakia had put everything into the 90 but the Swiss seem to have a bit more left in them plus more changes available
People always call for Kane to stay put up front, when he does that he’s ineffective. He impacts games by dropping deep and using his excellent range of passing. To do that he needs runners off and around him. You get that a little bit from Saka (but not when he’s a wing back) but Foden and Bellingham don’t do it and they actually fill the spaces Kane wants to drop into.
To get the best out of Kane you probably have to play Bellingham deeper (which limits him) drop Foden, and get someone like Gordon into the team.
Or you need to take Kane out for a player who does want to be a more traditional number 9 (we have two solid options) and then work on getting the balance of the three behind them better (which also probably means moving Bellingham or dropping Foden).
I do think it’s pretty clear what needs to be done, but I don’t care who the manger is, leaving out any one of Kane, Bellingham, or Foden would be a massive call and requires a lot more bravery when it’s actually your call and you facing the press, and not just an opinion you’re giving on a football forum

I might start enjoying games again.

However, Kane needs to come off. How are you nowhere near that Saka ball either?
