Went there in that league cup game. I found the place dreary and soulless. The ground was way away from the station. We won and sang, that was the only good bit in a very forgettable ’stadium’. At least Walsall had that triple decker behind a goal which was a fascinating sight.

Considering they were non league 15 years ago it could be a lot worse !
anyone know of any pubs near ground or is it better to drink in farringdon then train it?
Most of Stevenage is a bit of a dump, and the bit near the ground is just retail parks - and not really any pubs nearby.
If you've got the time, Hitchin (1 stop further on from Stevenage on the train) is great and has loads of nice pubs - I often see away fans there on a Saturday when teams are playing Stevenage.

Went to the Old Post Office last season. Lots of Charlton there. Seem to recall a good selection of beer. they did ok food, had pool tables and Tvs. The younger members of our party ordered drinks on the app to save queuing at bar...short walk from station, half hour walk or cab to ground. Probably do the same again Saturday week
