No business that has a need for any degree of reputation would risk doing that.

I always find that a zip-fly is much easier to keep clean.
Metal zips? You have to be careful, it has it's drawbacks  snags.

  • Yanks in golf crowds shouting "get in the hole"!  So what do they think the player is trying to do? Can the ball hear them?
It is a stupid, inane comment along the same lines as my wife shouting "go on kick it" from the upper west.

Would be ok if your wife shouted “get in the hole” though (maybe not in the upper west)

Ebay vendors who's first contact is, please leave me five stars, don't open a case if you're not happy etc etc.
Yeh sure, I'll give up my legal rights so you can offer me a £3 discount.
I get what you're saying and you defo don't want it to be your first interaction but if I can provide the other side.

My wife sells digital products she designs on etsy as a bit of a hobby/side hustle. Does well as a largely passive stream of income for a hobby. Covers our broadband, phones and Netflix and a meal out a month.

The headline description for every product she sells states that it will be delivered as a Canva product. She also states that if you're having trouble with the programme to get in contact and she can troubleshoot or worst case send in a format you're more familiar with (Publishers/ppt etc.).

Yet every now and then she gets someone who buys a product but can't use Canva and so they give a 1 star review without getting in contact. Its frustrating as through no fault of her own the income will halve for a couple months and she will have to work hard to regain her seller status etc. All because someone bought something full well knowing they weren't familiar with the software used. And if they just got in contact instead of defaulting to a review my wife would have walked her through the steps or delivered a free alternative.

So I do get why sellers say to get in contact before leaving a review.

Bloody little spiders. They seem to be everywhere - making webs in the car, hanging off my specs, across doorways so you get a face full of web, running up my legs when i sit in the garden. I know its nature, but bloody hell.

we have extreme weather warnings in place in the UK for the next few days but on the news we seem more obsessed about the weather across the rest of the continent. I’m not saying don’t mention it at all but I can’t imagine in France or Spain they spend any time discussing our weather.

Its the same weather event. Its a heat dome across most of Europe. We as an island can be a bit seperated from their weather so when we have an extreme event it natural and useful to compare across Europe.

Yeah, but we voted to leave, so we should have our own weather. Right? 🤪

I remember 'Employment' by Kaiser Chiefs being quite a big album back in the early 00s so I decided to put the whole album on in the car yesterday.

    80% drivel

People stuck on the m25 in Surrey for hours bleating on that someone should be handing water out.
Last time I looked we were in a Red Heat Warning. Red, the top level. Advised not to travel unless you absolutely have to.
Probably related to that bloody couple in prison in Iran.

With all these heat warning you would think people would provide themselves with water.

I do have sympathy for those caught in that. Obviously not as much as the people directly involved i need to quantify that first

There are so many victims in this country, victims of their own mind. Never prepare for anything, want to be looked after by someone else all the time regardless of their own capacity as an adult. In that example, if i had no choice but the travel on the M25 on the hottest day of the year or even full stop to be honest I'd make sure I had at least 2 big bottles in the vehicle. One to drink, the other to piss into

Maybe they did but then ran out given the length of delays and extreme heat?

Taking water with you or rather not taking water with you is one that really annoys me. I can't go anywhere without my "emotional support waterbottle". Am very unlikely to leave the house without it unless for a very short wander. I cannot for the life of me get my in laws to take water with them. I think because they are big tea drinkers they don't actually drink water very much but they will embark on a 7 hour drive up to Scotland without any form of liquid in the car. I won't go on a 30 min drive without chucking in some water.
