Only ever been to that fixture twice and we scored 5 on both occasions.

I was at the 5-5 too. Got a right shiner for my troubles, but worth it. My only trip to Eastville.

I don't anticipate us scoring 5 this time, unless Miles makes his comeback.

Ask her if she wants to try a flat back four, some slow midfield action, with the potential for a cock up at the back...

Have been to this fixture last year but any opinions on whether standing or seating is a better option for atmosphere etc?

  • Got my two at the ground yesterday
  • Still to get mine. No real chance of it selling out so will wait until closer to see weather forecast before seating or standing.

Not sure if it’s of any use for a midweek, but a new railway station at Ashley Down (about a mile
from the ground) will be open by the time of the game, served by hourly trains from Bristol Temple Meads.

Very useful info, ta. There is a train to connect with the last London train from Temple Meads.

    TRAIN

The three nearest train stations to the Memorial Stadium are Filton Abbey Wood, Montpelier, and Bristol Temple Meads.

Filton Abbey Wood and Montpelier are both less than 3km from The Mem and are regularly services by trains from Bristol Temple Meads, and also receive trains from Gloucester, Cardiff Central and Taunton.

Supporters should also note that Ashley Down Station is scheduled for completion and opening in 2024. The station is just over 1.5km from The Memorial Stadium and will be served by half-hourly services between Gloucester and Bristol Temple Meads, and hourly services between Henbury and Bristol Temple Meads.

Getting harder to justify the cost and time off work for midweeks, if you already pay for sky. Can see why Stevenage took 100 to Wigan

Anyone staying over and can recommend a good spot local to the ground?
