  • When I went there a few years ago there was away and home fans in there. Probably more away fans. No trouble. You might have to check now as I think it is the closest pub and when I went it was nice sunny day so people were outside otherwise it could get a bit packed.
    Not too busy yet.
  • More of a trek, but The Sportsman (especially its side bar called The Annexe Inn) had decent ale.

    Nearer the cricket ground.
  • I feel for all of you who bought tickets.
The good news is, after buying tickets on the open terracing, the weather is due to be dry.
And even better on a terrace you can always turn around, and not face the pitch
I'll probably watch Mrs Brown's Boys on my phone as it is likely to be more entertaining.
I got this right at least.
  • Stevenage out of my system and I've just swooped for a Bristol Rovers ticket. On the 16:30 from Paddington. Fancy us to win this one quite easily.
This aged well. At least the 22:40 to Paddington is only running a few minutes late.
  • Late enough to miss the night bus connection though...

Did either of you, use the new Ashley Down station?
    If so, how was it?

I used the ' Valley Away' coach yesterday arrived back in Charlton at about 01.35 giving me a good connection onto the N1 night bus, back home in Abbey Wood by 02.00.
  • SOOOOO happy I didn't buy any

Hi Clive, I was going to use it after the game but having walked to the ground from Temple Meads in about 50 mins I decided I would walk back again afterwards. As I got back to the station I saw a few of our fans getting off another train to connect with the 22:40 so it must have run on time.

Fair play to do that in 50 minutes, that is a hike.
