Your recommendations for Indian restaurants in/near Eltham?

My sister thinks nowadays nothing in Eltham is all that. So we don’t mind somewhere nearbý, say 15 mins drive. A colleague in the charity shop she works in recommended Darjeeling in Sidcup, but my sister thinks that was more about some Monday price deal than quality.
So please bring on your current favourites. I thank you.

The food in The Village Eat Inn on the high st is fantastic. It’s not the plushest restaurant though, more like a cafe with o levels.1

Ah so the Star is still good? Dunno whether my sister no longer likes it. Been there relatively recently and was good. I reckon its been there since at least 1980,! Been to Shampan too but not for a few years.0

I'd be interested in more views on the Darjeeling in Sidcup.
I've been several times to the one in Higher Green and that is excellent.0 -

My last visit was just pre covid (Jan 20) and it was excellent then. I was in a group and we all remembered it from the seventies. The staff were interested in our reminiscences from the old days or pretended very well to be at least.1 -

You can park for free in the car park on the other side of the road, diagonally opposite in the New Eltham direction.1 - Sponsored links:

You’re only 10-15 mins’ drive from Mountain View on Trafalgar Road. Good food - Indian / Nepalese. Lovely owner called Rom. Occasional post match haunt of ours, as only a few mins’ walk from River Ale House.2

Jasmine up bexleyheath is nice. Bloke that owns it is very friendly and they’ll usually give you free stuff to try that they are testing for their menu.1

Standard affair: Bengal Lancer in Chislehurst
Something different: Indian Essence by Atul Kochhar in Petts wood, gets booked up well in advance though.3
