  • Shame we couldn’t have gotten the extra tickets
  • Me and the boy, he’s hoping that after 16 away league matches and no win this will be his first.

I found this website for parking, £4 in Tesco for 12.30-6pm. You can probably risk not paying, but there's more than likely a numberplate system in place if they are charging. Only a 5 min walk.

    That's where we're parking, shine.
  • I am going,my first away game since our draw with Brentford .I am thinking of having a drink in Farringdon then the quick journey to Stevenage
  • Let’s hope they’ve cleaned the men’s bogs floor since 2012!

I’m just looking at this, and unless I’ve got the wrong place it looks like it’s maximum stay 2 hours.

From a little google street view exploration of the car park:

  • Yep…….I’m going.
    Hard to predict a result…..could be anything.🤔
  • Southgate Long Stay car park is 20min walk to stadium and looks to be a flat rate of £6.50 to park from 6am-7pm. I'll probably go with that.

Thats why you pay via the website or its 2 hours stay (probably to stop people parking up and going to football) to shop like most carparks in those kinds of places. I did mention theyve probably got a system in place to stop you just parking for free, presume the have anpr systems in place.

Ah I see, might do that then. Though on the ‘tothe92’ website mentions that the stadium car park is free and well run.

    Options.

Beds posted on the previous page that there's a circus on that carpark or we'd be using that too (may still do if it's not full of tents etc). Tbh the Stevenage fc website doesn't mention the one opposite (where the circus is) at all bizarrely.

We're parking as usual via Your Parking Space so these regs don't apply.
  • Same as Fanny on the app

This seems like a good idea on the face of it, but not if there are no toilets on the train, even if it is only a "quick journey". Could get very messy.
  • Have a great day out those that are going. On a short holiday in Devon but wish you well.
  • Missed the first games on holiday. First game was Reading.  Then Rotherham and Blackpool.
    We are going tomorrow too….

With news like this the "Stevenage spares" thread is about to go white hot with everyone trying to get rid.
  • I’m one of the minority who look forward to this match, I was born in Hitchin Hospital and grew up in Stevenage until I was 10.
Nice nostalgia trip and hopefully 3 points.

  • 4x of us on the 12.01 out of St Pancras. No doubt will be stopping in the Post Office pub beforehand
  • 4 of us travelling up from West Sussex. An easy train journey for us as one less change than a home game and more beers! Looking forward to it.
  • Yep 4 of us....heading for Post Office pub too.

A reduced Thameslink service will run today.

Thameslink have listed the most significantly affected routes below, along with alternative journey options. These will be available at no extra cost.

Brighton / Three Bridges - Luton / Cambridge:

Cancellations will affect daytime and evening journeys. There will also be some service changes, with some trains only completing parts of their usual journeys.

    Horsham - Peterborough:

Cancellations on this route will occur throughout the day, especially mid-morning, early in the afternoon and in the evening. These will include some of the last trains of the day on this route.

Is that affecting the London Bridge to Stevenage line?
  • Is that affecting the London Bridge to Stevenage line?
Possibly, check train departures from London Bridge or head to Kings Cross & catch a Great Northern service.
     https://www.thameslinkrailway.com/travel-information/plan-your-journey/live-departures-and-arrivals
  • I imagine they'll be cancelling them as the day goes, when I'm at Charlton it's always the trains between 5/6/7 back to Peterborough that get pulled.

Definitely use the parking app we've been talking about over the last couple of pages (for that reason).

Yeah. Tesco was full, but got the Asda instead.

Further away and more expensive, but hopefully no issues!
