There’s only one set of fans more disappointed than us with that the dullest of all fixtures
Spare a thought for Preston drawing the worlds dullest league one club
They are happier than us but...

    El boringo
Preston is a decent place (for non football stuff) right?
  • Thrilling draw.
Never been Newcastle so tempted to go there with Bromley.
You want to spend the day with a load of Palace fans?
  • About as dull a draw as you can get. And so close to Man City away.

Genuinely, I want a refund for my ticket already, and they're not even on sale yet
    Your fault then mate 😂

It's certainly winnable ( Don't laugh)  but a disappointing draw none the less.
  • The BFG is still there isn’t he?
    I don't think so
  • Since getting promoted back to the Championship in 2015, Preston have reached the 4th round twice, and gone out in the 3rd round 7 times.

That's TWO FA Cup victories in 9 seasons  :D

Wiki says he is. I'm surprised
  • From PNE online

A home match against a team from a different division - that is good. The last time we played Charlton in the FA Cup was the 3rd Round in 1966 at their place - we won 3-2 and went all the way to the 6th Round.

    Nailed on Preston win then
  • Crap Drawer
    You wanted Blackburn or Stockport.
    This is on a par
  • And that Ladies and Gentlemen concludes season 24/25.

The next disappointment to look forward to is the January transfer window when either we wave goodbye to our few prospects or welcome some more obscure signings who will flatter to deceive.

    Bar humbug 😉☹️
  • TBH everything that we didnt need from a business perspective.

Overnight travel costs and stay, no TV revenue, moderate chance of a postponement (northern weather in Jan), lack of ticket revenue and a game that whilst winnable would be our toughest game in a normal league one season.

    Boo.
  • Don’t forget to visit the football Museum
  • Crap draw.

  • Boring!!!! Cant be much worse than that. Possibly Blackburn or Wigan away would be more boring.

Nonsense, We can still have a run in the cup that really matters, the Leyland Daf, Pizza John, Bristol Street Motors or whatever it is called now cup.

We're only a handful of games away from Wembley in that.

Preston.. reasonable allocation, good watering holes and outside chance of winning

Been in here loads of times, it's great changing at Preston for an away game.  Only two minutes walk from the station.

  • Just passed Deepdale. Shite ground in a shite town. Still, happy to beat them and move on then remind all the Nob End in the pub about it for months after.

I think that is in Manchester now.
  • As every season passes I'm getting more convinced they are staring to rig the draw. Every 3rd or 4th round draw there seems to be at least 2 big all Premiership games. Its always Arsenal v Man U or Liverpool v Man U.

They ask Deon Dublin to mix the balls & all he does is swirl then around. All that does is moves them along the bowl. You need to get your hand in, take a handful & really shake them around.

Dublin must have pulled out half a dozen balls in the 40's on the trot. Watch the draw back.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I do find it's good to remember that one does not, necessarily, have to have an opinion on everything.
