Southend Season Card holders From 1pm this afternoon, season ticket holders will be able to buy their seat only (no additional tickets) in a priority window which will end on Friday, 25 October at 5pm. Tickets will go on general sale at 6pm on the same day.
Sounds like you're expecting a big crowd?
I reckon it will be around the 7k mark, as it's a been a while since we've we've reached the 1st round proper. If you're feeling a bit anal, this routine from our fans board pulls ticket sales stats from the SUFC Public Servers. It shows sales so far, including away sales. It's not 100% accurate, but it's pretty close.

Hope it gives you a decent boost to your coffers
I think they’d make more money from a national league home game than this game (as not televised)

In reality they’ll make less because I’m pretty sure FA cup rules mean gates are split 50/50 which is one of the reasons smaller clubs like away games at PL teams that will always sell out.

I knew Southend games had been very well attended but hadn’t realised quite how large they’ve been!

Isn’t it 45% to each club and 10% to the FA ?

Still less than they’d get for a league game which was my point

I always thought is was a third to each. I could be wrong
  • I just called the box office to ask when the Southend tickets will go on sale and the response was ‘in the next week or so’ 😜 and he said they still don’t know what the allocation will be …

Shitshow from the Southend side by the sounds of it then

I suspect they are urgently trying to progress remedial ground work to increase the allocation.

If It remains 800 then it’s going to be very hard to get tickets

Southend are only selling to season ticket holders at the moment for home end with general sale starting tomorrow at 6pm.

Maybe they are waiting to see the home interest before confirming how many we can have.

You’re dead right with your last comment just seeing how their sales go

That only works if they have areas for potential away allocation that don’t have ST holders in

They haven't sold that many yet by the look of it

They are only selling 1 ticket per season ticket holder at the moment.

The 500 who went to Barnsley last Tuesday should be given some preference.

They will get ten loyalty points to add to any other points they've accumulated.

The loyalty scheme is working excellent, it looks after those who go all over the place

They have just announced that with each away ticket, you will get a free pot of winkles/cockles/prawns to make up for the low allocation

I think those who went to Bristol Rovers probably have a better claim.

If the club do their usual 27 different allocation tranches the "general sale" ones will be offered the Tuesday after the game 😀

Depends how much the work costs though. They're selling adult tickets at £18 so let's say they could do the work that would fit in an extra 500 fans, that would bring them an extra 9k in revenue.

Surely any repair work will cost more than that and they won't even need the extra seats after our game as they're in non-league. The other 2 games on the ticket link the Southend fan posted, the away sides have so far sold 58 and 29 tickets.

They’d only get to keep 45% of any profit, so would be way down
  • I have heard that the delay in tickets is due to the fact that they have prioritised the design of the half/half scarves for this fixture, as soon as the scarf design is signed off, the tickets will be released …

What if they draw Wrexham in the 2nd round?

Being against us you must have a good chance of getting to the second round.

The ticket situation for this game is becoming ridiculous. Is the problem at Southend's end or are Charlton putting it on the back burner until after Saturday's home game against the titanic Welshman ? If the latter, it's a cynical disregard for supporters.

The ticket allocation must surely be known and the (presumably honed down) priority bands could at least be announced. There's going to be no time to get these tickets through the post for supporters who live some way from The Valley.
  • Think this could be a sit on my hands job in the home end 🙈

Once upon a time I may have agreed with you on round progression, but these days it depends which Southend turns up. Somebody posted earlier that we may be preparing the North stand for Wrexham. I think I'd rather roll over to you lot than welcome back that twat Parkinson and the Stateside boyos.
