I didn't attempt to get a ticket in the first allocation as I had no realistic chance of getting one, so made plans to do something else (Welling v Chippenham) that I cant now change, I would have gone if we had the bigger allocation from the off, suspect there are plenty like me who made alternative plans for their Saturday afternoon.25

Given the farce over tickets going on sale (and then a thousand different sales stages, and then selling out, and then getting more) 1,300 sold so far is decent. Hopefully be about 1,500 on the day to witness a famous Charlton cup win.5

Disagree with those saying bad support. We sold out the initial 800 quickly. At the time there was no guarantee of extra allocation. The additional 1000 only went on sale Wednesday afternoon, makes sense a lot of people would have then made plans for Saturday thinking they were unable to go to the game. Nearly 1300 sold now, might get to 1600 on the day. If we'd had the 1800 from the start, more than likely we'd have sold out.20

Made last minute decision to go to the game, according to Charlton website tickets still on sale.
 I'll soon find out.
If ok will catch 12.34 from Sidcup, arriving 14.300

There are a limited number of tickets available for purchase on the day at Roots Hall.

Poor to not sell this out whatever the circumstance to be honest.12

Not bad support but Charlton concentrating on Wrexham. No mention of the Southend ticket sales to Monday and no promotion of the game at all.

if the 1,800 go on sale a couple of weeks back, then they'd all be long gone - the absolute cock up with them means plenty of people (me included) have arranged other things now on Saturday10

Still quite a few remaining; now only available at Southend on the day.0

The Club (SUFC), has busted it's buns to make the majority of the North Stand habitable for the visit of Charlton, and it has cost them far more than will be taken in ticket sales etc. It will be a shame if your allocation is not full but I'm sure those of you that do attend will enjoy the day. That's the FA Cup for you. By the way, we've knocked out around 7k worth of home seat sales to date, so a gate in excess of 8k is likely. The weather forecast is set for dry and around 14°c, the playing surface is looking good and Macauley bonne is excited.34

I got to the club shop just after 2pm told they stopped selling them 1pm don’t remember seeing this anywhere? It’s only buy on the day now and as I would have been going on the coach I won’t risk going without a ticket with the arrival time of the coach so won’t bother going at all now.Addictedoldgit said:Made last minute decision to go to the game, according to Charlton website tickets still on sale.

That's a shame; hope it doesn't backfire too much financially. Guess it's not too long since we were last there so it hasn't quite caught the imagination like a new ground does for many.0

Entirely down to the delay in the extra tickets being available.Paddy7 said:That's a shame; hope it doesn't backfire too much financially. Guess it's not too long since we were last there so it hasn't quite caught the imagination like a new ground does for many.
I don't see why the tickets can't still be on sale online, to collect at the ground tomorrow, as it's completely unrealistic to expect someone to travel to Southend to pay on the day, when there's a chance they might be sold out.9
-
Poor communication from the clubs I can imagine, but wouldn't expect anything less tbh.3
-
When i popped to collect my tickets today at the valley they said there was around 400 left. No chance of it selling out tomorrow on the day imo, so anyone who wants one can get one.0

Quite like this option and thinking of making the trip to buy a ticket at the gate.Photollery said:Fenchurch Street line, you can always get off at Westcliff. There are numerous pubs on Hamlet Court Road, including The Hamlet Court, The Craftsman and Westcliff Drinks Company. All 15/20 mins from ground.
Trains are less than an hour from Stratford and around £13 with a network card. Match tickets relatively cheap too making this a viable trip. Will see if i wake up on time.0

Very strange behaviour from Charlton around this game and don’t forget Southend started selling tickets 2 weeks prior and open up closed sections to get us in + more dosh which is fair of course …0

As memtioned in this thread, acted like giddy little school girls, starstruck by Hollywood Wrexham. So so unprofessional.Valleysarr said:Very strange behaviour from Charlton around this game and don’t forget Southend started selling tickets 2 weeks prior and open up closed sections to get us in + more dosh which is fair of course …2

Pal of mine has just decided to come, does anyone know if tickets can be bought from when the ticket office opens or when the turnstiles open to ensure we get a ticket?0

Can pick 1 up at the ground on the day👍DeflectedWide said:Pal of mine has just decided to come, does anyone know if tickets can be bought from when the ticket office opens or when the turnstiles open to ensure we get a ticket?0

Anyone know if it is sit where you want?
I have two kids with me so need to get there early if so.0
-
Not sure about sit where you want but likely be 3-400 empty seats at the yellow end of the away end so should be fine with kids2
-

Your allocated a seat on the ticket, but if you know what local-ish away games are like that usually ends up meaning nothing on the day.Athletico Charlton said:Anyone know if it is sit where you want?

Every away game is sit where you like, as it should be4
