The female pundit I like most is Fara Williams. Especially on radio, she manages to convey what is happening tactically when you can’t actually see with your own eyes0 -
I don't get the fuss over Laura Woods. Her presenting style is awful.3

My hunch is that MOTD will look quite different next year. The new head of BBC Sport moved over from The Athletic and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some journalists given a chance to speak. We could potentially end up with analysis that is more interesting and engaging but that would make a good presenter even more important3
-
Think Colin Murray could do a good job. Good presenter and very football knowledgable - and could probably fit in well with his Countdown work.3
-
Nicky Bandini, a football pundit and journalist who is also trans, has done the MOTD Champions League show this season. Doubtful as host of the main show but you never know.2
-
I really hope Mark Chapman gets it.
Host and pundit are two very different roles, I can't think of a better host than Mark Chapman, he asks questions that help the pundit and the viewer/listener, as well as having the balance of seriousness and levity (if you've ever listened to the Monday night club or watched the old NFL highlights show).4 -

Chapman is very dull. And therefore perfect for the job.2

Just to confirm, I'll be watching MOTD tonight 😂4
-
Daily Mail reporting it will be split between Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan2
-
Kelly Cates is a great choice. Chappers on rotation very solid too - Logan a safe pair of sporting hands but don't know enough about her football knowledge to present a dedicated football show (but a decent enough presenter who will have the sense on when to input and not). Hope this is true.3

If it’s anything like Doctor Who, it will probably be Des Lynam.2

Great picks by the BBC.5

Very dull 🤔
If Chappers was born in London he would be a train spotting Charlton fan!
I like Mark Chapman especially on Radio 5 and he asked questions similar to fans not as an ex pro footballer.4 - Sponsored links:

It's going to be a hologram of Kenneth Wolstenholme0

Thank God it won't be Alex Scott.4 -
I would like to spend more time watching the football and cut out the paralysis by analysis that is served up. The presenter should be just that and not be the overpaid star of the show. I can`t stand Lineker and will be glad to see the back of him. Bring back Des.4

Cates is my choice. Like the banter as well.1

I have literally just watched MOTD2 and never heard a word the pundits, players or managers said. Fast forward is your friend4 -
I'd rather it be hosted by a different fan each week, chosen by these criteria:
1. Has to have had more than 10 years season tickets
2. Can spell their club's top scorer backwards without hesitation.
3. Can eat a pie blindfolded and tell you which club's ground in their division it comes from.
