Why do you think they have? Their van was in the Fan Zone yesterday.

Thought I saw it across the road.
  • It was certainly there in same place as it was the first game of the season, when we last had some, roughly diagonally opposite the fan zone entrance and against the kids football pitch which is caged in.

I was actually surprised the Fans Zone was open yesterday, looked pretty bleak. Can’t imagine they’re getting much business this time of year?

I can't believe I have read through this waste of time thread. I must get a life.

It’s got a roof, that artificial grass floor which is good to stand on, a warm air blower, the sun was shining and the queues for food and drink were short. The only down side is the noise from the Dj which stops any conversation though when it got to the Christmas spirit bit and the Xmas songs were bring played instead it was much better.

The downside was it was hard to locate the food bank van.

they were cleverly camouflaged to look like a big burger van and a chicken van parked either side of the big screen showing the Preston v Leeds game.

Just realised my mistake SP, apologies for that, I missed that you were actually referring to the ‘food bank’ van. Must admit, I didn’t see that vehicle though TBF I wasn’t actually looking out for it this time around

Do Chicken George take the Nathan Jones approach or is there something meaningful on the wings?

That would be great! The price of beer at the Valley is scandalous.

When I saw the title I thought of George Lawrence.

The spanners used to call him this, @MillwallFan will be able to confirm.
    Yes. I thought the same.

"I never watch the food programmes because meat and fish alienate me".

But loves a thread called Chicken George about a fried chicken shop that sells fried chicken.

    'Loves'?
    How so?
It is a thread about the fan area behind the West Stand isn't it?

I stand to be corrected but I thought the original Chicken George down the Den was one Trevor Lee, who was signed with Phil Walker from Epsom & Ewell in the mid-70s.
