Nothing in sport compares to the quiet and profound satisfaction of the opposition number 4 clothing you to extra cover on the edge of the ring

Duckett has turned himself into a massively vital cog. Since returning in 2022, this time as an opener, he has averaged 46.55 with a strike rate of 87.52. To put that in perspective, David Warner, who was seen as an aggressive opening bat, averaged 44.59 with a strike rate of 70.19.
Still only 30 too. Feels like he's been about forever considering he debuted in 2016

And predictably, one of them is, Crawley.

You can tell it's raining by listening carefully to the trumpeter.

Is it me or have the English commentators been showing a bias towards India? Maybe they are looking for IPL work...

I mean it's there to flick for 4, pretty unlucky to get such a fine feather on it.

Thakur is absolutely shit and always takes such jammy wickets

If Stokes was stretching his hand out to confuse India into a review that is excellent S-housery

It was only there for a falling over flick because he's given it a pre-meditated charge and first ball at that. I suspect that he was looking to crunch one over the top but got surprised by the line of the ball and instinct took over. Had he stayed in his crease he probably could have made a better contact deflecting it from a standing position. I get that he wants to impose himself but as the likes of Crawley and Duckett, especially, have proven perhaps it is worth taking a look first.

People might argue that's the way he plays. One only has to look, though. at how we overdid Bazball against the Aussies and that meant us not winning the Ashes here (remember Root trying to prove how he was "one of them" by ramping the first ball). We have proven since that, if we pick our moments to attack, then we can do both successfully.

Yeh but really looking forward to that competition in August. Can't beat a bit of 50 over cricket.
