How the bejaysus are we going to be able to follow this at home on Tuesday?
The dreaded audio commentary (which I think of as a world of mystery, as in what’s going on) or will a kind savvy person find a video stream for us all?
If it is audio, I will search initially for Radio Lancashire to hear if they describe what is actually going on.

With less games '5 live sports extra joins BBC Radio Lancashire for live football commentary from the Championship as Preston North End face Charlton Athletic' well the Championship is a bit premature but I think they mean Tuesday's game. So that is easy enough and we can bank a commentary at least. Then I suppose it might be easier to find a stream for the same reason.

    Thanks.
We can get a commentary, probably a choice of the BBC and the Charlton service if you subscribe as I do.
The dilemma is to avoid the worst one.

Should get a bye to the next round. A championship club unable to fulfil a fixture due to a frozen surface, where temperatures have been known for ages and, let's be honest, haven't been extreme, is farcical. How do they not have under soil heating, or proper frost covers and enough heat lamps?
Do we have undersoil heating or even a boiler that’s connected or proper frost covers and enough heat lamps?
Yes we do, and we're in League 1 anyway where we play tinpot outfits like Burton and Crawley, Preston are meant to be a respectable Championship side
The only thing that is tinpot is your statement.

Think you will find we still have no connection to undersoil heating system.

The game is now listed as being available to watch on ESPN+ here in the States. Should mean plenty of streams around online / on those special fire sticks.

Does anyone want a lift to this tomorrow? I'm driving from Ashford, just looking to make the wallet hurt a bit less after these big 3 oop Norths on the spin.

The positives: more comfort than the coach

The negatives: I will probably mention every half hour or so that we won't spend any dosh.

But seriously if anyone is tempted to go but is worried about travel, happy to have people drive up with me

Don’t understand why the BBC can’t just stick this on the red button

Because they haven’t paid the FA for the privilege

I thought the FA had done a deal to show more games to even out the potential losses suffered by teams due to no replays.

Therefore no reason why the 3 (THREE) matches scheduled for Tuesday evening can't be shown on ITV 2,3,4 or x and BBC 3 and 4 (keeping the traditional BBC 1 & ITV 1 still free to show Eastenders & Corrie).

But of course they wont because it's all a stitch up.

PS.  I bet if the Arsenal v Man U game had been postponed it would definitely be shown.....and on BBC1  !!

It’s not really 3.15 for him because he’s already in São Paulo waiting to pick you up, of course.

Unfortunately mate, I'm having a few issues again.

Looking unlikely I'll be going today. Hopefully be alreet for Rotherham and Bolton. Sorry I can't get ya

Annoying, cause I wanted to tick off Preston, but we will be in the championship next season anyway so I'll do it then  B)

If there are cameras there and the feed is being broadcast overseas, which in turn no doubt means anybody in the UK with a firestick or whatever and a loose perspective of what is legal and what isn’t can watch the game live. Why is it therefore beyond the capabilities of the FA, BBC, ITV, Sky or whoever to get together and come to an agreement and make the feed available in the UK ? If they don’t or can’t move on from the 1950s then sooner or later, and probably the first given Starmer is going to let AI loose, they will lose all semblance of control over revenues altogether.

It's down to what the FA put up for sale. I suspect they didn't consider games being postponed or called off. The BBC/ITV will have bought a certain number of games for each round, which they have already broadcast

Not reported by the club but BBC Radio Lancashire has coverage from 7:45pm
No mention on their website about 'not online' so I'm fairly sure we can listen on BBC Sounds

Why would CAFC not mention free to air radio match commentary which could benefit many fans, but list the territories in which the game can be watched which only aids fans with VPNs to spoof the location of their internet connection?
They don't seriously think that (m)any will buy a month's Charlton TV subscription in order to listen to that audio 'commentary', do they?
