I've just checked on the Birmingham City ticketing site & there are probably less than 400 seats still for sale for tomorrows match.
Can't wait to be back in a big, full stadium watching Charlton. It's going to be a great day
Envy those who are going. If the result is good theres nothing like giving it to a near on full stadium of locals.

Must say, we are more than accommodating to away supporters in the JS Stand, 3500, so Birmingham are just giving us the bare minimum of c2000, or 1977 to be precise, maybe we are just too nice...🤦‍♂️
And what would be the point in offering less sears to the opposition than we already do when we have thousands of seats remaining empty, and making our current deficit even bigger
    None, and I wasn't even suggesting such a thing...🙄

Tbf if what Clive is saying is right and they only have 400 tickets left in the home end then what they offered us is ok whereas we struggle to sell a stand out nevermind the whole stadium.
It’s almost as if the price is too high in London for 3rd division football in the current cost climate for the fan base…

Reading all the stories of fans desperate to get tickets to the point of paying over the odds, makes me wonder why we are not kicking up a fuss about the allocation. “We” being

    - the club
    - the local media
    - CAST
    - all other organised supporter clubs/groups
    - all of us on here.

Have the years of dross made us so passive?

the club asked for an extra allocation but were declined

so what would kicking up a fuss look like in this instance?
Oh well, the same sort of fuss as we kicked up back in the day when we finally got the Spanners to give us 4,000 at the Old Toolbox. Did my bit for that.

@clive  they may have sold all but 400 tickets but does that include selling out in sections that they have chosen to give to away fans in other matches this season? As an example of what I mean, we sold out our Doncaster play-off home game by the previous Wednesday but the attendance was 25,000 something, not 27,000.

The Doncaster game was a home sellout. The difference was the segregation of the Jimmy Seed and Doncaster not selling their allocation.

As discussed on page 2 of this thread Wrexham/ Stockport were given approximately 200 more tickets than us, where these spaces were, i don't know.
A map of the end where Charlton fans will be located is on the link below, the away section is GM1-4, maybe part or all of GM 4 will be left empty for segregation purposes.
The Millwall example is completely different as the lower tier would have been empty & not used by Millwall fans.

It was the old Den. I can't recall exactly but  I'm pretty sure the issue wasn't about tiers but sections. The point was that we pushed for it. I think two years previously we tried and failed then finally we succeeded (although it was a horrible night, of course). My point was, we pushed. Club and fans together, and spearheaded by Voice of the Valley and the Mercury.

But on the other hand having looked I can see that they really are pretty full this season (although their claimed capacity is 29,000 so at least 1,000 places seem to permanently missing from sale). And even 4 weeks ago we probably didn't expect to sell more than 1.5k max.

This issue might come up again if we reach the playoffs. OK probably not with this lot, but since we are always generous with our allocation, we are entitled to expect some transparency from the other clubs.

Well if my memory serves me right,  for the games at the old Den it was always pay on the day & the infamous away section was in the corner behind the floodlight pylon.
It was the New Den when we were allocated the top tier & requested the lower tier for more tickets.

I expect the remainder of this seasons away allocations to sell out bar Mansfield possibly & if we are get to the play-offs we will not receive anymore more tickets than normal from the clubs presently in the play-off positions.

we can't expect clubs to give us plenty if they can sell it out themselves and for once we have a following wind and are bringing some decent numbers sometimes , if we had a 10k stadium and were flying and could fill it up i'd want us to give the away team the bare minimum
or like when we came back to The Valley with a limited capacity what did we give away teams 500 or something guff

we give out loads due to the ease of it (with Jimmy Seed segregated from the rest of the ground)  and us not having anywhere near enough fans to fill our own seasts never mind nick some from the away end

Does seem odd they don’t oblige by the 10% minimum but does that not apply in L1?!

35.7 Facilities for visiting supporters 35.7.1

Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club’s certified capacity, if less than 2,000. The League may, on the prior written application of a Club, suspend this Regulation or reduce the figure either for a particular League Match or for a period of time. Each Club shall, subject to any dispensations granted by the Board, make provision for at least 200 of the visiting supporters (of which not less than 100 must be seats) to be accommodated under cover. Any Club which fails to meet the requirement of 200 visiting supporters being accommodated under cover and which does not have a dispensation granted by the Board shall have such amounts as the Board shall determine (in its absolute discretion) withheld from that Club’s central distributions from the Pool Account until such time as the Club can meet the requirement.

More locally, I've always enjoyed The Quaggy. Such a funny name.

That'll be a laugh, Birmingham and Villa both at home{wtf}, with 5000 fans pouring in from East Anglia and London.

It seems odd, but if you think about it about 8 teams play at home every weekend in London.
