Can’t help but wonder whether our brief dalliance in the top 6 was simply because we’d played more games than the teams around us, and won them. Now everyone’s caught us up again games wise, we are back outside the top 6. If we lose today and Orient win today and Tuesday and then beat us next weekend they will be 12 points ahead of us.
Just parked the car in Charlton (3 hour journey so not too bad considering the overhead signs on the A11 were saying 45 min delay on M11 ... it was closer to 5 mins byvthe time I reached it) so will wander down for a burger shortly.
Flying solo today as grandson didn't want to come (had a busy couple of days and is sleep-deprived ... write your own punchline for that) and granddaughter was playing football this morning otherwise she'd have taken his place off the subs bench.
It would be nice to see a decent performance today and us putting the Grecians to the sword ... but in the current circumstances a scruffy 1-0 win with a goal deflected off ConCov's arse will suffice.
We need the win ... and by hook or by crook, we will.

Lots of ifs there. If they lose today, Tuesday and then to us and if we win today then we will be what, three points ahead of them with a game in hand. As they say whatever will be will be.
I think Exeter might be tougher than some people think. They have been terrible recently but that’s because they had pretty much no available centre backs a month ago. Since signing some on deadline day they’ve drawn with Forest (holding on with 10 men and Magennis filling in at centre back!) and then beating Cambridge away
They were chuff. Cup weirdness and getting Garry Monk sacked didn’t end up counting for much.

Level on points with them after today instead of 6 behind as per @EveshamAddick ‘s scenario.
