What impact do we think going up or even reaching the play off final will have on next season’s ticket sales? Add a 1000 or more?

Was it 8,000 STs this season? If so I would expect at least 1,000 more if we go up - could be much more than that.
Given how many people have attended the last few games, I'd be disappointed if we couldn't break the 10k barrier.
Win next Sunday and I'm convinced it will be something like 10k or 11k

I wonder how many people have bought for next season just since Thursday. I bought 2 this morning!

     Very likely, IMO.

Promotion will surely be 12-13k ST. I know of 6 bought just this week based on Thursday / Wembley priority sales.

I don’t think we’ve had that many since 2008/09, but it would be nice to think so. Let’s get promoted first, though.

I will probably buy one if we win on Sunday, but I attended nearly all our home matches anyway this season! For me it’s more of a vote of confidence in the direction of the club, with both Scott and Methven gone and the news about Phil Chapple, whatever happens on Sunday, we are moving in the right direction.

Apologies if this has already been posted - have had a squint through the forum.

Question: No. 2 son is a degree apprentice and studies at Uni part time. He’s applied for student status on his Charlton account to get student pricing on an ST. The club have said that he’s not eligible for student discount as he’s studying part time.  The club T&C (although these are for 24/25 as is the ST brochure) on the website doesn’t specify any such qualification to student status and buying stuff anywhere else is never a problem for him.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Any advice that could be kindly offered, please

    Thanks in advance.
I gave up on the Student element/ticket once my kids went to Uni.

Year 1 - no, at the start of the season they are not students as they have left school education and don't Start Uni until September. i.e. technically not a student at the start of the season.
Year 2 - yes you can have a student ticket
Year 3 - sorry, they finish being a student before the end of the season, so you can't have one!

So on a 3 year uni degree you are apparently only a student for one year.

My youngest is going back to do an MA in September, two year course so she won't be able to buy a student ticket for either year!
It's a bit of a strong stance by the club, as you can qualify for a standard student card (and discount) if studying for professional exams whilst working full time. I know plenty of IMC and CFA candidates with student cards

Season tickets will come off sale at 11am on Sunday ahead of the Addicks' game against Leyton Orient, before going back on sale at 11am on Tuesday morning.

Just wondering why the season tickets come off sale for a couple of days?

I would've thought that if we win on Sunday there would be a rush of people to buy one, caught up in the euphoria. But they won't be able to for a couple of days, by which time they mightve calmed down and thought better of it.

Perhaps the prices increase if we win tomorrow or there is some kind of maintenance taking place on the ticket office website.

    Gambled...bought 2.

Live a 2.5hr drive away and did more away than home this season (about 20 games in all) but next year could be the most home games I've been to since 91/92 at Upton Park.

If it's maintenance then that would be the most ridiculous timing ever, taking something off sale just when demand is highest.

I guess it must mean potential price increases. But again, if that's the thinking then tell people to encourage them to commit and part with their cash now.

    Just seems odd timing.

Could be that the ticket office have been working incredibly hard and could do with a bit of a break after the rush

I’ve renewed again, and I do think we will win tomorrow. However, the thought of having to grind it out in next season in league 1 with home matches against Mansfield, Burton & Northampton etc, compared to those big crowd we would get for Southampton/Leicester and other teams in the championship.

Championship football and I will be counting down the days to the fixtures are released. League 1 football and will be dreading it again.

I think the pause will be because the club is waiting to see what league we are in. If we get promoted I suspect prices will increase

interestingly Wrexham have reduced the number of season tickets available next season so they have more for general sale. Their ground is obviously smaller than ours so I can’t see us doing that

Not a smart move to encourage more sales though.

Would imply match day tickets also go up in price when they are already top heavy relative to other entertainment options.

Squeezing every last penny is a disappointing approach (if true).

It’s because there capacity will be 2000 less next year as the open end will be closed to build the new stand.

I see its just a small £90 price increase from Renewal Price to today's price for Zone 2, £65 increase from Phase 1!

At 550 you all of a sudden have to be very commited to attending. With midweek games and things like dates moved for TV, you only have to miss 4 games and you might aswell have not bothered. After yesterday’s day out id love to commit, but it just doesnt make financial sense for me to do so. Cant wait for the fixture list to come out though and get some dates in the diary.

Also prepare for about 50% of our kick-off times & dates to be moved.

And likely to be the early bird pricing for renewals next spring.

Very silly move. That’s no way to build support.

Wonder what they would charge in the event of  Promotion to the PL?
