According to that Alan Nixon, Huddersfield have bid £2.5m for that Galbraith from Orient
Personally think this is a tactic from Orient to make us panic and massively up our bid for Galbraith. Huddersfield probably are interested but would be mad to bid 2.5M when an initial bid was 1.3M surely they start with 1.5M 1.8M etc and work there way up think the fee given doesn’t make a lot of sense
It's definitely Orient or players agent playing games, as otherwise it wouldn't be mentioned that £3m would guarantee the signing.
I have a feeling Jones will want a LARGE POWERHOUSE STRIKER like CHUKS to bring on as an impact player with 15 mins to go - obviously Aneke was past his best and plagued with tight calves and not good enough at championships level (see his Birmingham career) he must have someone lined up…wonder who ?
weve got one, Miles.
Key season for Miles. Really needs to stay fit
This in a nutshell. I really wouldn’t want to go into the season counting on that. Unfortunately for the lad after the last 2 seasons I think it’s more likely that another injury is around the corner. Hopefully not the case but some peoples bodies just can’t cope with professional sport
This is possibly the best chance he has of staying fit, last two years he had no pre season after GBH at Welling and then his long term injury that ruled him out until October time
If he can get a full pre-season under Jones and Dr Will it'll give him best chance possible, as will not having to roll him out for games in the bristol street pizza motors cup
I doubt he will be fit for pre season. The new Chuks
why do we bother with shite pre season games like at Welling ? Aside from the tradition, I really dont see the sense in thoe types of games.
So we can test out how robust our players are against those two footed flying tackles 🤣
A Trialist from Welling and the tackle on Miles Leaburn which left him injured reminds me of another lowly team we played back in the 90's 🤔
West Ham united pre season 'friendly' at the Valley and Marco Boogers managed a bad brace that day by late tackles on super Clive and Matty Holmes with both leaving the field on a stretcher.
On his League debut at Old Trafford from the bench just minutes after coming on he cut Gary Neville in half and after a melee got a red card. Only played 4 games for the Hammers all from the bench.
It was not Boogers who did Mendonca and Holmes. It was a Norwegian trialist called Steiner Nielson
👏🏼For your memory and 👎🏻for mine. Steiner Nielson tackled like Boogers !

I think you're probably right but Huddersfield did pay a reported 3m for Joe Taylor in January, so they're clearly prepared to spend big on young players.
Mothersille would be an interesting one 12g/9A in a not particularly good Posh side , Jamaican international too so would know our contingent of Jamaican internationals too.
Reminder mothersille is behind Dixon in the Jamaica team
Importantly, Mothersille has already played 69 league games in English football, with 15 goals and 12 assists.
With that, you'd have to say he's more ready to be in our first team squad at his moment.
That's not to say that Dixon doesn't have the greater potential, but not sure how many games he will get next season, maybe a good amount if we're clear in mid-table with couple of months to go.
Can't see Galbraith going for less than 2 million tbh unless the add-ons are heavy and big clauses. I don't trust Nixon at all but between 2-2.5 million is about right for a player of that quality, regardless of there just being a year left. That's the difference between securing a player, or being in a free for all free agent market when his contract is up.
Different calibre of club of course, by lightyears, but I don't think Bayern cared too much on spending 100 million on Kane with a year left. Context always matters when paying a price for a player. I know Bayern are a completely different level of club, but the premise is the same.
What people may see as a heavy price for a player with a year left, I see a marginal difference of a fee for a player which could be the difference in staying up. Of course there are players out there who may offer the same, but if Jones wants him, Jones should push for it.
We won't get much better for that price tag I don't think, but let's see.
Problem with Mothersille is Dmac will try to use him to recoup the money lost on RJJ and Poku so we’d end up paying over the odds. That’s before you even take into account that it’s come from FLW
Huddersfield Town are making a remarkable £2.5m offer for Leyton Orient play maker Ethan Galbraith, as they look to continue their 15 year unbeaten run, stretching back to 2011 and Lee Clark.
The Terriers are looking to buy their way out of League One and have tabled the bid in the hope to see off promoted Charlton.
Former Manchester United babe Galbraith impressed at Orient who will sell if the offer is increased.
Huddersfield may get their man if they hit a guaranteed £3 million sum.

Plus whilst 2.5m might seem a lot for him now, he's a player with serious potential and sell on value. If he had a good season in the Championship, then at today's prices you could potentially be looking at selling him for 15m+ next summer.
I'm not saying they're the same calibre of player but Blackburn sold Wharton for 18m + add ons after 44 league games in the Championship.
Seen a clip of Mothersille where he seems to believe he will win the balon d'or within 5 years. Is an okay player but not championship standard to me and feel like him and NJ would clash. Maybe posh are leaking to try and recoup some of their recent losses on players.
Reminder not to believe a fucking word from FLW, they just make it all up as they go. We could end up signing Mothersille, but FLW would have no insight into that

And if so, why have we not yet signed Malik Mothersille ?
Welcome to Charlton Athletic, Malik Mothersille.

Think a lot of footballers do tbf 😂 as long as it isn't Marcus Maddison style and more Vardy I don't mind.
