Well, even at Orient you have people living in cloud cuckoo land. Galbraith will go to whoever pays him enough and for how long, he'd be a mug if he didn't. I would imagine, the reference to 'vile behaviour' is selling them REG who gave away the free kick for us to score. If I were this poster, I'd worry about what loans Orient could bring in to replace half the side that lost at Wembley and have since returned to their parent clubs.
Agreed although I’d say staying in league 1 and moving to Huddersfield only suits Leyton Orient as the transfer fee is higher. We offer guaranteed playing time, in a location and division that suits -  if another reasonably local team in the championship or above come in, offering a bigger transfer fee than us, then he will likely go there - at the moment, it would seem that nothing is ticking all boxes for all parties

    Vile behaviour = winning

To be fair... I've got a confession to admit... I did happen to jump up and down with my arms in the air when we scored, and then won at Wembley - Am not proud of my actions, and would like to move on from this sorry negative against my record
I did even worse. I had a pint at half time.

The responses on here to that Orient fans post sums up why they have this view of us, some vile reactions, completely uncalled for.
I thought you was a normal fan considering you have a vlog etc but you’re a proper wum.
@Braziliance you contribute a lot to this site and I think your vlogs are great, but "vile reactions" really? Orient fan claims they are a bigger club and in a better position than us...and and a few people put some pisstake comments on a message board. Nothing to see here...COYA

Orient can do one btw haha!
I think he was being sarcastic
I’m not even sure any more with him, he has some ridiculous opinions.

A 5 signings target sounds about right to me, I don’t think we need more than that, but however many we do sign, the sooner the better. We saw last season that you need a core starting eleven that know each other and how they play. Bringing new players in is all well and good but it puts the team back to being a bunch of strangers again. Only finding that core eleven in December isn’t really an option this coming season. We need to be looking to pick up points from the start and to keep it going. We may not win or draw every game but that has to be the aim.
Crazy. I think people underestimate the quality of the Championship.
And I think people underestimate the quality we have within our squad. It may well be in for a rude awakening when the season starts but with a little strengthening it will adapt and overcome.
Disagree, this squad as it is is bottom 3 in the Championship.
we’re not talking about ‘as it is’ are we ?
  • Oh dear poor old Leyton 🥱 Orient really don't like us do they after Wembley and how we didn't let them beat us, now apparently we are a smaller club than them into the bargain...

But last year's Leyton Orient are Brazil 1970 reincarnated don't you know. It's outrageous that we employed tactics to nulify their strengths, shouldn't be allowed. The game should be replayed under netball no contact rules.
Love to apologise, but can't be arsed...

    Oh do shut up.
Why did you do this to me, for what reason, what is the charge? Posting a joke? a succulent joke?

Been posting here for a bit, and always posted in the same way. What on earth does me doing a vlog have to do with posting a very obvious joke on a Charlton forum.

I'm not normal cause I am taking the piss out of Leyton Orient fans vile comment? Please shut up 😂

  • I spoke to a few Orient fans coming back through London and when I got back home to Brighton and they were all very gracious and nice.
The ones we met on the underground congratulated us and wished us well ,

Yeah I was taking the piss cause of how ridiculous it is I keep seeing a few of their fans say we were vile, and me knowing we are the furthest thing from it. Surprised I need to break that down tbh.
Apologies @Braziliance in that case, sometimes sarcasm is lost in text
No need to apologise at all mate. We are all just eagerly awaiting summer signing no.2
  • Bit over the top all this anti O’s talk, all because one saddo wrote something on the web.

I spoke to 3 Orient fans on the train coming home from Wembley, 1 was a spurs fan and the other 2 just went with him for a day out.
So what you're saying is that Orient have no fans and they're still a bigger club than us?

    Fun tho ain't it...🙄
  • It's an interesting discussion around ' vile ' supporters . I live walking distance from Brisbane Road and like them. I love their Supporters Club Bar. There is no Orient segment of London. You go north you hit Spurs , west Arsenal and east West Ham.

When we started playing them recently I felt the vibe changed a bit. I didn't like the way they celebrated their Virtue Cup win and started singing ' Premier League and you f...ked it up' and some of their fans complained about the away end almost as if their facilities were better.

As a Charlton fan it is interesting. I always felt patronised by fans of Arsenal , Chelsea , Spurs and West Ham in the Premier era. I now accept that those four clubs are much bigger than us.

I see Orient fans having the same sort of relationship with us.

Haha yeah I guess so, they may also have a reality check unless they manage to replace the loanees who went back home.

I think its an issue for them as they don't have any local rivals that they'll ever get to play. Maybe they might try and start a "rivalry" with us amongst themselves, just to have some purpose in being angry with the vileness of Charlton. But lets be honest we don't give a monkeys about them and never have or will.

Edit @Richard J I'd deffo say we were patronised by that lot in the Prem, but we rolled them over a few times, so didn't do too bad!

When we were in the premiership, we weren’t adverse to handing out a thumping to each of those teams. admittedly, Arsenal and Chelsea were consistently more successful than us, but if we could’ve stayed there…

I think Richie Wellen's comments probably reveal Orient's dilemma. They did very well to get to the play off final, ahead of some much more fancied sides. If they had beaten us they would still be losing those loanees and have to replace with a higher standard and at a greater cost, a cost that the infrastructure of that club, at present, would find difficult to support. Wellens pointed that out after the Stockport game and also bemoaned the lack of adequate training facilities, sometimes you need to be careful for what you wish for.
