I know that Rodwell did say last night about still 1or2 more incomings, and probably some outgoings, that's the part that is concerning me, who is on their way out?, think we may all be in for a shock or two on that subject...🤦‍♂️
I don't think it'll be a shock with outgoings. Kanu and Ahadme out on loan, possibly Ahadme sold if it can be arranged.

Who are the one or two you are concerned are going?
Not ITK in any way mate, but could possibly see Ramsay, Godden, TC, just an established fans favourite, I hope I am wrong, but we are spending a lot of dosh on some good players, and the squad is getting big, something has to give surely...
The squad really isn't that big.

We lost Small, Chuks and Watson and three other fringe players so six out.  We have brought seven into what was a small (pun intended) squad.

Taylor and Ahadme appear to be injured and/or out of favour so that is eight down on last year, Fullah is great but still very young, Kanu and M'Bick may go out on loan, Reid is only covering for the injured Mannion.

We also need nine subs so if anything we are still two to four short.
We have (i think) a squad of 27.

If we accept Taylor and Ahadme are gone that's 25.
If we consider M'Bick and Kanu might go loan that's 23.

So that's enough for the first X1, 9 on the bench + 3 in the stands, and I haven't included Fullah, Dixon or Enslin in any of these numbers.

Plus of course we will definitely make at least a couple more signings, so i certainly wouldn't class our squad as small.
Send Fullah on loan, have a keeper injured and a couple of knocks and a suspension, and suddenly you're scrabbling for numbers, and the whole bench is academy lads.
Fullah isn't included in the squad numbers i mentioned.
If we have a keeper injured then we still have 2.
Couple of knocks and suspensions are a given, but the numbers above already have 3 players sat in the stands each week anyway.
Plus we are going to make more signings.

  • Someone check on Linfieldos and his son. He won’t be a happy man after seeing that rumour.

And we're going to sell some players. AMB will almost certainly leave, as will one of the Mitchell's, and possibly Asiimwe too

He doesn’t tweet transfers too often so he’s not just churning them out,  was aware of El-Mizouni moving so may have Orient/Orient adjacent contacts

Hopefully this is true not sold on Berry and Carey as the 2 No.10 options. Guaranteed football and being London based should give us the edge
  • Would that rule out Knibbs?

You’ve got your followers and following muddled, he’s has 776 followers. Still not a lot but he does get the odd thing right
  • Gutted if Ramsay left but I think we need to be asking a minimum of £7 million come January. Realistically he’s going at some point and I’d like to think / expect that his leaving would fund a couple of signings of very decent quality. It’s all about squad building window on window but the sad reality is our top talent is always going to be cherry picked. Was ever thus.
£7m for Ramsay?  That’s ridiculous.  Can’t see it myself, if he went I think we’d get 1.5-2 at a push.  Happy to be proven wrong but I don’t know how you can get to a figure of 7m

Couldn’t see 7M but 1.5M-2M we would have had our pants pulled right down. In today’s market he’s probably a 3-4M player

not seen a huge amount of him but Fukuda certainly looks like he could fit in with the physicality and power here in the EFL

The other goal I saw him score was from a high press where he nicked the ball about 30 yards out, nutmegged the last defender and then squeezed it past the keeper.  He certainly appears to have decent attacking instincts and a terrific engine

I think he has already excited the fan base and let's see what happens in January.
If Fukuda can emulate one of my favourite Japanese player's then I would be ecstatic if he joined CAFC ?

Honda, who also had a great engine 🤦🏻‍♂️

No inside info, but I don't think he'll be here at the end of the window. At least one Prem team was seriously looking at him in Jan.
no where near ready for prem .. got to prove himself in the championship first ..

Perhaps it's not a loan we're looking at.

He fits the criteria of what we're looking for. Young, potential to improve and if we can sign him for £2m now he'd be worth £5m come the end of a very decent season.

Can't see him getting near to Spurs' first team once the league action starts.
  • Bring us Fukuda-Kun

Who else is hitting a net buster/Nettobasutā like that.
I swear I heard the commentator say...." he didn't learn that from Simon Church".

7m is ridiculous but equally so is 1.5-2m.

Somewhere in the middle would be more realistic if he has a good first half of the season.
Agreed £7m is ridiculous which is why you would set it the asking price in January still with 18 months left on his contract at that point. January is a seller’s market and if a Prem team is desperate enough they’ll pay it. Or in reality you meet on say £4m or so.

£1.5m no chance unless Roland was selling.
  • How did this one turn out for Theo?

No chance he off to Rangers

I wonder if football fans from other countries beat themselves up for being racist when they describe the stereotypical characteristics of English players? I suspect not.

Not invited to the circle jerk. Gotcha.
