Based on Knibbs signing, Berry, Burke, Godden, Mannion and
Taylor being out injured, and working on the assumption that Ahadme leaves, and Kanu and Asiimwe
head out on loan within the next two weeks, I expect us to line up as follows
against Watford…

Knibbs is basically Karoy Anderson but with the ability to score goals.
With due respect, he’s nothing like Karoy
I know what Callum meant - both are known for their work rate and knack of pressing very effectively.
Probably true for all our midfield and striker signings though, as NJ won’t sign players in those positions who can’t or won’t run and press all day - similar has also been said about Olaofe and JRC.
Anderson’s future for me is likely as a box to box midfielder, while Knibbs can as a 10, on the wing or up front. The one game Anderson played in that position he struggled and NJ soon changed it.
Knibbs is an established high end League 1 player who is ready for the championship.
Karoy wouldn't be able to stand out like Knibbs has in League 1 and look as comfortable for 3 seasons in a row, especially with those attacking numbers. Sorry but it's true.
Whether or not Karoy gets better we don't know, but right now he's not even close to him or similar.
Think it was probably meant as in winning the ball back in high areas. Neither are especially rapid but both seem to have very good acceleration so are quicker than most players over short 5-10 yard distances. Which is perfect for winning the ball back in a press, which it looks like he does in a similar way to Karoy
Knibbs obviously has way more quality on the ball and going forward than Karoy, which is why he’s a number 10 and Karoy will end up as more a box to box ball winner

you can still compare the two without saying they're identical. I also see a lot of similarities with Knibbs being a much more rounded player clearly
Yeah but to say they're the same player except for the goals, come on.
Harvey Knibbs will more or less be a guaranteed starter in a championship side this season, Karoy was a bench player for a League 1 promoted side.
Karoy has a decent ceiling, but I have seen nothing of Karoy to suggest he is similar to Knibbs.
Maybe I am underrating him, but saying he is Knibbs without the goals is overrating him for sure imo.

A taxi left Sparrows at about 17:30 last night and headed towards Eltham Park Station.
Eltham Park Station that is a blast from the past.
What a nice station it was with its covered walkways. From recollection, the last time I used it was on the way back from Fulham Away.
Ah, at last ..... a proper Charlton Life post with a train
I remember well Eltham Park station, and using the Bexleyheath line. Opened in 1908 and with more impressive adornment, especially to appeal to the more refined prospective buyers envisaged of the new Corbett Estate, then being built around it.
When first opened, superior to other stations on the line, it even had available a 1st class ticket holder facility, plus separate Ladies waiting rooms with toilets. Even during the late 60s, 70s and early 80s when I knew it, it still retained a faded elegance.
It was closed in 1985 with the widening of the A2 and the building of the new Eltham station across the road from Eltham Well Hall station, also closed at the same time.
Things you didn't know you needed to know - part 3
Nice early photo of Kidbrooke station with RAF Kidbrooke in the background .

Yeah I was ignoring the order
Kaminski
Is probably what I'm expecting but could easily see a few different options for the front 3
absolute chaos haha
JRC on paper should be an upgrade on Doc, but things don’t always play out how you’d expect.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of the new players are on the bench to start with, rather than all being thrown in from the start.
