    Midweeks:

    Derby (A) 30/9
    Ipswich (A) 21/10
    West Brom (H) 4/11
    Stoke (A) 25/11
    Middlesbrough (H) 9/12
    Derby (H) 21/1
    West Brom (A) 24/2
    Middlesbrough (A) 11/3
    Ipswich (H) 22/4

The EFL really should make midweek games a bit more local. Both of these games being midweek is a joke for away fans.

3 of the first 5 against sides with new managers could be advantageous. Especially someone like Watford and QPR with managers new to English football.

Great timing. We can secure promotion on 24 January, a week before the transfer window shuts, to give us more time to recruit and plan for the following season, but leaving us free to concentrate on winning back the FA Cup.

selfishly worked out well for me as I'm on holiday 2nd Saturday - great first home game, slight downer it's a 12.30 KO but should be a bumper crowd a excellent opportunity to hit the ground

Realisation of just how tough it’s going to be.
I remember after we got relegated from the Prem thinking every game looked winnable.

    Now every game looks tough.

Seem to recall reading they do it for stupid reasons, i.e. they pick the games that they think will have shit away attendance anyway, and stick them in midweek... Because... Well... They're obviously going to have a low away attendance, so doesnt matter when they are.

Good news about Millwall - it is on 24th January (so when we have our enviable LB problem we have 24 days to sort it out)

Does anyone know why there's no fixture for 28th March, there's no matches arranged for England.
Edit i think it might be playoff's for the Euros.

Bristol City in mid August should get a good turn out, Norwich on boxing day is a bit of a stinker

Stoke Home 4th round FA cup date

Middlesbrough Away 5th round FA cup date
    https://www.thefa.com/competitions/thefacup/round-dates

Fifth Round Proper: Saturday 7 March 2026

Boro (A) is in the midweek on 11th March. If we (or Birmingham) were to be in the 5th round of the cup, the match on 7th March would be postponed.

    Games on FA cup dates:

    - Stoke (H) 14/2
    - Birmingham (H) 7/3
    - Bristol City (H) 3/4 & Watford (A) 6/4 (FA Cup QF on Easter weekend - I’m guessing Good Friday would be postponed and Easter Monday pushed to Tuesday or Wednesday)
    - Hull (H) 25/4

Happy with Watford being live on Sky as I'm on holiday and can watch it.
All games are on sky, even the 3pm because the most important league ever since the invention of football in 1992 doesn’t start for another week.

Portsmouth at home 6th December, one day and 33 years after the "Return to The Valley" game, that's spooky...just a shame it's a day late and not the 5th
