Great to see the fixtures trying to find a s*** away game to go to.

For the past 5 seasons we have been trying to find a decent away to attend.
  • Shame it’s 12.30 but other than that, a good opening fixture and first away game - won’t be easy but should be in with a chance

  • Attended the fixture release event organised by the club.
Nathan gave a really inspiring interview and has high expectations for the coming season.
You can certainly see why players buy into his vision and how he cultivates team spirit and gets the best out of players.
Really good vibe around the club and lots being worked on around the ground.
The pitch was looking good and among other things they are installing a new big screen.
Will the big screen be any bigger do you know?

    what does that even mean?!?!?!
there's sod all difference between the best and the worst (82.5 to 79.9). Frankly I don't buy that one
  • Millwall fixtures are perfect.
I am out of the country from the day after the September game and have the week off after the January game and plan to go away so will avoid all the piss taking heading my way.
  • Midweeks:

    Derby (A) 30/9
    Ipswich (A) 21/10
    West Brom (H) 4/11
    Stoke (A) 25/11
    Middlesbrough (H) 9/12
    Derby (H) 21/1
    West Brom (A) 24/2
    Middlesbrough (A) 11/3
    Ipswich (H) 22/4

The EFL really should make midweek games a bit more local. Both of these games being midweek is a joke for away fans.
Callum you are so right. If it's a random selection  ....OK there should be intervention. If its an algorithm its poor

Coincides with the nasty cold or early flu i get in mid September, and January guaranteed, so that's a shame.

Maybe, I can’t quite remember that detail but lots of painting going on, another box being added and new LED advertising boards all round the pitch.
We are certainly making the most of all the commercial opportunities we can which will bring in more money to the club.

Not a single easy game on the list, much more like it! Hopefully long gone are the days where we lose 1-0 to Cheltenham and I want to hurl myself into the Thames.
Agreed, now we get to lose against a much higher calibre of team!
    And Millwall
Got a feelin' in me water that this year will be our changing point for that little distubance, and it will be them wailing as we do the double over them...🤞
    That’s what I’ve been thinking.

For the first time ever, we’ll be the underdog, and they’ll be expected to win.

none of their tourist offices of those requiring mid week visits would be able to expound at length on their attractiveness.
Middlesbrough is cool if for example you’re  interested in Captain  Cook, and some of the surrounding area is beautiful, like Whitby for example.

I’m thinking of staying overnight at Ipswich. The

had the same idea .. BUT, the cost of basic hotels, tlodge, preminn has gone thru the roof, and this is all over the UK .. has put a big dent in my plans for away games this season coming

(tlodge has 4 Ipswich hotels, for 1 night 21/10 cheapest is £84, dearest is £93 .. Harwich, 10 miles away though, just £50) .. the hotel chains have got wise to football towns and the fixture list, they now charge accordingly, i.e. rip off prices)
  • A funny snippet from the chat with Nathan.
It was mentioned that the tie up with Bluewater had come about partly due to Nathan’s interview where he mentioned not wanting to see the players at Bluewater.
Steve suggested that perhaps Nathan had a future at promoting other commercial ventures through his interviews.
Quick as a flash Nathan replied I don’t think I should do that as I’m very 50/50 with interviews, half of them come out alright, half of them get me into trouble 😎
  • Has anyone found a reputable site offering downloads of CAFC fixtures for digital calendars? The EFL one that I downloaded included every match day fixture for all Championship teams 🤦🏼‍♂️ so I've unsubscribed.
  • Seems like Wrexham are being given a slightly easier set of fixtures, they're getting to face Oxford City!!

rChampionship - Congratulations to Oxford city on their promotion from the national league
Bloody Yanks (and Canucks) - hint got a clue!

The poor lambs aren't used to to having so many teams in one town/city.

Gotta feel sorry for all the fans that want to go but cannot due to a 12.30 start.

Nobody winning any acting awards soon based on that club video
Saw them filming the bit in Greenwich Park while walking the dog a couple of days ago. Wondered what that was all about.
So I had another look and I’m in the video. I’m the bloke in the orange tshirt walking his dog as the bloke is running in Greenwich Park……don’t blink!

You need to put in on a lead mate!
  • On holiday in Italy for Millwall (H). Just my luck!!!
You’re about the fourth person who has said that, good to see people getting their excuses in early to avoid the game.

Did they at least ask your permission to be so involved with this?!

No, was gonna start a thread asking if there are any lawyers that know about this stuff. Must be able to get a few quid out of it….and for the dog.
  • Jones is gonna be well up for these Millwall games. Would be nice to see a Charlton side not bottle it at The Den.
  • Annoyed about Norwich away being on Boxing Day. That would have been a perfect weekend away.
And Ipswich away midweek is also very annoying. Both East Anglia aways would have been perfect for a Saturday.
Yeah.... also feeling the hit on these...

Tbh, we didn't bottle it in 2019. Naby forgot to jump. I've never forgiven him.
