Doncaster only brought 1,351 for the play offs last time, so was plenty of space for segregation and extra home fans.

I'm sure Wycombe will bring more than that.

Wycombe brought 1,457 for the game at ours this season, so you'd expect them to bring more than that for a play off semi.

Their average gate this season including away fans is 5,362

Their last 3 games have been against teams in the playoffs and they’ve lost all three.

the likelihood they are going to bring 2,000 fans, let alone 3,000 on a Thursday night for a 8pm kick off that could go to extra time and penalties is probably pretty low I would have thought

The wait til Wednesday. Gonna take an early lunch to make sure I get on for 11:00 am. Fingers crossed, else it will be CharltonTV for me.
You will be absolutely fine. I wish I’d waited, but I just wanted it resolved.

Blimey just taken a look at the seat map. Expecting some release of ST seats tomorrow at 11am but remarkable how quickly these have sold. We are back
A great many season ticket holders have bought elsewhere because they mistakenly thought their season ticket seat had been sold because it was greyed out, in effect it had been reserved for them, until 11am tomorrow. Gonna loads of tickets released at 11am.
I could see how to get my season ticket seat in north upper but I wanted 3 together there.  The whole area was greyed out so decided to get 3 together in west stand.  Had no other issues.
Are you now known as Westlower or Westupper, mate?

Waiting for what though? If he's looking to get his season ticket seats he needs to do that between now and 10:59 AM on Wednesday.
    What did you want resolved?

To further clarify on the above, I am a bit of an idiot.

There's a little red box when you click on your own Fan ID thing on the ticketing portal, which says something like "Great news! We've saved you a seat at a great upcoming event. Click here to buy" where it's completely unclear there's a hyperlink on the word "here", and I've managed to stumble on it by accident.

    Looks like I'm all sorted.
Eligibility to buy your season ticket seat in this sales phase was two-fold...
    1. having a season ticket
    2. ability to solve a riddle (click on a miniscule hyperlink hiding in plain sight).

I know “here” wasn’t in another colour, maybe it should have been. But it did say “click here” in the English language and, if you did indeed click here, you were taken to the page showing your ST seats.
But clicking directly on 'here' was'nt working for quite a few people i.e. those using Google Chrome. Chrome is the worlds most popular browser so it affected a large number of users. Not having this tested before it went out to the general public is very poor.
Not the case. I used Google Chrome on Sunday evening, clicked here. and it worked perfectly. The only issue was there was a tiny box you had to tick, left of the script, that I didn't initially do. I calmed down and read the page instructions, clicked the box and everything worked perfectly. E-mail arrived a few seconds later, and ticket printed at home!!
Ah, that's good to know then. Because it worked for you that must mean it would've worked for everyone else, if only they weren't so stupid. There were obviously no problems with the system or process, even though the club have since apologies for just such issues. Thanks for clearing everything up for us.

I wonder if it was some kind of test, seems most didn't pass . Although the club should really take a look at the website experience, it does need to be better.

Perhaps my idea about selling season ticket holders their seats last week was not the lol you initially thought!

I knew we’d have no problems shifting the tickets, but to basically sell all home areas (24k) within 27hrs and huge heap of IT problems is very impressive
We don’t actually know this do we?

Whilst I don’t doubt it’s been an excellent sales day surely the number depends on how many ST holders took seats elsewhere.

Just trying to find comfort for those who haven’t purchased yet.

It seems a shame not to seg the Jimmy Seed Stand given a) the home demand and b) the risk Wycombe don’t sell out. One problem is that the club has only one person with experience of organising this - that guy whose name I forget who supposedly retired about three years ago - and the police will likely have few people with experience of it either. There is the additional problem that the home turnstiles in Lansdowne Mews are not great.

The seg line is a cost but with a capacity crowd and shared expenses it shouldn’t be prohibitive, depending on the police’s attitude.

It’s standard not to issue the full 3,400 away tickets to give some flexibility on the matchday.

I know someone said earlier on here that the closed off blocks in the West and Jimmy Seed are for sale on the website they are still in grey which means unavailable not sold out.

One of the most disappointing things about all of this is that the club seem to have underestimated the demand they would face for tickets. But then they always seem to underestimate the demand for big games, despite all of the evidence to the contrary.

I still remember the fiasco for the Man Utd FA Cup tickets back in the day. It seems we will never learn.

I refer you to my previous answer:
    OhMyGodden said:
Well I used Chrome yesterday to book, so no need to test it.
But Chrome on what exactly i.e. Windows OS, Chromebook, Android OS, Linux etc? Its also possible that a particular version of Chrome might work and others not (ever noticed the upgrade option that regularly appears in the top right hand corner of the Chrome browser? clicking that changes your version of Chrome which might make it behave differently)

Bottom line is that anybody that has done any form of web development even at a basic level knows you have to test as many combinations as possible (and repeat the testing at regular intervals to ensure it stays current).  Whoever is in charge of software development for CAFC's ticketing system wasn't careful enough with their changes and that was the main cause of the issues not user ignorance or stupidity.

Thing is, there is no “we”. The club has very little institutional memory due to the turnover in management and staff. Current decision makers don’t remember 2019, never mind 1994.

I haven't read every post but I feel for people who didn't get access in time to get a ticket. I'm a lapsed season ticket holder of 22 years so had to wait my turn today at 11am. Logged onto site, waited 25 mins to get through , chose a lovely ticket in the west upper, but then couldn't log in to actually buy it. Was awful watching seats disappear as I kept getting the same error message over and over. I have used chrome for every match ticket this season so for it not to work today is bizarre and for me the fault of the club and system checking. I also tried Internet Explorer and Ms edge, and had almost given up when the IPhone safari browser solution was mooted on here, which meant I just got a ticket in time in east stand block a. I was lucky, others weren't and so if anyone was wetting their knickers I don't blame them, I shat mine for an hour!

    Posting without reading.

Guys you need to click precisely on the 'here' text in the box on the top right hand area, that takes you to the next screen to buy your season ticket seat.

    Hope that helps.

Gonna hold off until the unclaimed tickets get released tomorrow. Hoping to snag a home ticket in the covered end. 3 hour drive for me, but will be a wicked atmosphere

All the Covered End Yoof will be in the West, whereas all the West Stand pensioners will be in the Covered End  :D

Tickets never flew off the shelves as quickly as this for the Doncaster game.

Going to be interesting to see what happens if/ when we get to Wembley

Someone at the club could alter it so it would make it easier (colour change), as someone changed the time from GMT to BST.

I can't get my own season ticket seats right now, nor can my old man. Is anyone else having the same issue?
    To clarify on this:

The whole stadium, when trying to select a ticket, is greyed out. The seat reserved for my ST (and my dad's) do not and cannot appear. I click on ESG and get an error message.

Has anyone else had this problem trying to buy their own tickets, that are supposedly reserved for us until tomorrow morning? I can't click and buy right now so I'm wondering if I should be panicking, blaming IT issues, or something else.
Your seats are greyed out because they are reserved for you. What device/browser are you using?
FYI this wasn't on seats themselves - this was when I tried to click on ESG as a whole. The map would not let me do this at the time - nor indeed click on any other area, with the game sold out. (All academic now anyway)
Got it, glad you got your tickets sorted

Anyone else still having issues logging into their ticketing account?
I can log into the OS ok but when I go to ticketing and sign in I get ' An error has occurred. Please try again later.'

Been like it most of the day.
