Kelman saying that he's spoken with EFL Players who have been there and done it, like Matty Godden to improve his movement in front of goal.
When Kelman scores a hattrick to beat us at Wembley, it'll all be Godden's fault!

Kelman shouting out Godden there in his interview
Hopefully if we go up, Godden can put in a good word. Could be a great successor to Godden

Charlie Kelman is 23 years old and had 19 caps for the USA U19's. Great this season with 21 from 46 games and yet the QPR player had to go out on loan to league 1 to turn into a goal scoring forward. Does the Basildon born Charlie have an American accent ? as he was at an academy in Dallas before coming back to Southend to join their Youth squad.

Didn't hear the interview but he reminds me of a Godden but 10 years his Junior.

Edit: Just heard Kelman's interview against Mansfield when he scored his 21st goal and more of an English accent and he hoped the Orient fans remember him with pleasure when he goes; back to QPR in the Championship I would assume for the 25/26 season.
Has an English accent and spoke well.

Said he speaks with EFL strikers like Matty Godden and I think Jordan Rhodes?

He's out of contract at QPR in the summer. He will be a free agent unless transfermarkt is wrong

Great timing from his perspective to be a free agent this summer, coming off the back of his first great season. Should have his pick of a number of clubs and will be getting a nice increase in salary.

You have to fancy Stockport in the second leg, as Edgeley Park for an evening game will be a really tough place to go. That open away terrace drains away the atmosphere from the away fans, while the home fans are really loud.
The home fans are in the railway end in the second leg.

The Railway end sounds very Charlton Athletic 🚂

Think Orient needed to win going into the away leg but it’s fascinatingly poised. I’d probably take a 2-2 tomorrow

That’s why you really want home advantage in the second leg. Win or draw the first leg and you’re in the driving seat, plus you have home advantage for any extra time or penalties that may result.

No open play goals for either side - really shows the importance of set pieces in the play offs.
Luckily we have Terry Taylor on the set pieces - oh wait…

For the benefit of those being pleased that there will be VAR and semi-automated offside decisions in the final at Wembley ...

It'll be dialled down to Division Three standard. The video ref will be spending the afternoon watching Dion Dublin on Homes Under The Hammer, the cameras for the offsides will be on the huh so not in line with anything and the Artificial Intelligence governing the process will be rellaced by Genuine Stupidity.

If the officials don't want to give you a pen or decides to send off one of your players, VAR will be able to find a justification for that decision.

When you've got VAR in operation that could allow referees and linos to be even worse than normal because they know there's a back-up of someone else watching TV.

Yes, you guessed correctly: I'm not a fan of VAR 😉

The off side rule was different back then and the West Brom player Arrowed was definitely offside as you didn't have to touch the ball and surely twice as when the number 8 played the pass, Astle was offside and in front of  the defender running back.

Agree that was probably one one the most blatant from history.
    ..................
The only explanation was the Ass ref didn't think there was a flick on at Orient if Kelman was onside from the pass.

A couple of QPR fans on twitter seem to think it expires in summer 2026. It was originally this summer but the deal he signed last January was a 1 year extension.

Notts County vs Wimbledon at 8pm tonight, after they stole "our" slot.

Hard to call the L2 playoffs, as it was such a close league this year, and Chesterfield in 7th are the only team of the 4 in decent form. The 84 points Wycombe got to come 5th in L1 would have been enough to win L2.

Hope Jacko does it. He’s doing a good job there with a fair crack at it.

On the halfway line at Meadow Lane. Back home at 05:30, then up at 11:00 to go to Adams Park tomorrow.

Not sure what folk are seeing on TV, but they have given Wimbledon a little over half of the east stand and have the other half of the stand completely empty. I was expecting Notts County fans in there. Their south stand is also practically empty. It's quite disappointing how few tickets they have managed to sell for a playoff semi-final on a Saturday.

    Looks half empty on TV.

20k stadium, how many tickets have they managed to sell?

Their north and west stands are practically full, which are the biggest of the two. The cameras seem to be in the west stand facing the away end as I can't see any over this side.

I think AFC Wimbledon have around 1800-1900 here. There are quite a few empty seats around me, but I think there are more Wimbledon fans towards the corner flag?

And we had to move our game because Nottingham couldn't cope with Forest & them bring at home on the same day.

    Shameful.
