Would Bauer’s goal have stood if we’d had VAR in 2019?
IMO yeah.
If you mean the slight pull back then i see it as no different when that tall forward for millwall scored a late goal against us and was all over our full back. Still would have given it as a goal.
Hilarious how the Stockport commentators are now exasperating over the decision having now seen it from 5 different angles in slow motion. They said nothing at the time. Linesman's job is impossible having to check the line, watch the release of the ball AND any feint touches the ball might get on the way. Yes, good advert for VAR. Officials have had a good half.

yeah also got the Stockport tv commentators. They were relatively ok about it and said nothing. a few replays later and they are disgusted by one of the worst decisions ever made in the history of football.

I’ve personally enjoyed listening to Stockport Tel.

Thinking of Pearce being all over the defender.
yeah, i think i would of been annoyed if it was over turned. I don't see enough in the challenge to warrant a free kick. Maybe i'm being biased but if it was the other way round i wouldn't of complained too much about the challenge. a bit of that goes on all the time in the box when crosses come in.
though i wouldn't of been surprised if VAR came in and ruined it and that is of course the argument against having VAR.

If we both get through, could we swop opponents?:-)
Silly as Stockport havent really offered anything this half so far
You don't get a better penalty than that.
So basically if you take a 1-0 lead against Stockport... DO NOT let them back into it
