3-0 to wycombe under no pressure at home and all Charlton fans can start saying Sheffield Wednesday came back from 4-0 down .
i said we’ll be back here losing to them in the play offs in a few weeks .
my pessimistic gene (basically that’s everyone of them )is kicking in to overdrive and I can’t see any scenario where we get promoted through the play offs .

I'm not an optimistic person when it comes to most things, but I don't see any chance of us losing the first leg 3-0.

So does anyone know if the likes of Berry, Small, and Jones are being rested or are they actually injured?

Makes a big difference to our play offs chances if they play or not.

I fancy that they all could have played yesterday, had it been necessary.
Suspect they were as much being rested as opposed to being badly injured enough as as to being unable to play.
    If that makes sense. 🙄

Obviously this is purely on how they looked at the trophy presentation, but Jones and Small were both walking fine and had no strappings etc. I couldn't see Berry but presume he was there.

Hopefully it was just sensible precaution by giving them full rest after recent injuries.

Leaburn was moving fine as well, get him on the bench!

Wasn't he the one wheeled out covered head to toe in bandages, hence why we couldn't recognize him being unable to see his face?

So much concern about Orient, yet if our current squad had REG, Clare, Pratley and DJ named in the playing squad, we’d be screaming how shite we are!

I’m confident we’ll get past Wycombe, I think Stockport will prove to be too good against Orient over two legs, and then it’s a cup final at Wembley where anything can happen!

Berry was walking so that’s decided he can do the full game plus extra time.

Sorry if covered elsewhere - but why couldn’t this be played on Saturday night as initially planned?

Nottingham Forest are playing in the Premier League Live on Sky on Sunday

Notts County were playing their Play-Off match on the Sunday.

Those two cant play at home the same day, as the Stadiums are separated by the River Trent, and because Sky show all EFL Play-Off matches, it was our game that got swapped.

He’s probably ahead of Ahadme in the pecking order at the moment. Thinking of it, you and I are probably ahead of Ahadme in the pecking order!

because the tv companies decided the fans who attend matches might find it convenient and enjoy it and thats just not happening

Gut feeling says no - the Wrexham game and how we handled the occasion is a big worry.

I don’t think we will win the playoffs but that might be my inner pessimist coming out. On paper we have as good a chance as any perhaps the best chance but that isn’t how football works. I have a bad feeling about Wycombe I think they will beat us. However if we get past them then we win at Wembley

i think that was more to do with the players we had missing

I don’t think we will win the Playoffs. I think Leyton Orient will do it.

Reverse psychology to fool the sisters of fate, very clever.

Thought Jones comments were telling after the match and 100% agree.
We're now entering a tournament football environment. Forget the form book. Get their heads right. We've got a 25% chance

Jones is the biggest asset in this shoot-out.

Until you realise he has not won playoffs from 3rd tier before. Lost them when at Luton, I think went up next year automatically.
Always a first time though, and hope he does it

I’m surprised that some posters think that having more fans there will make the difference. It just doesn’t work like that.

    It won't hurt though.

There's a chance that the greater support from the stands will give our lads a boost.

Not having Aneke for the first leg isn’t too big of a blow. He’s best for when we are chasing a goal which is likely to only be a scenario in the 2nd leg
Imagine him being let loose, second half vs Wycombe, packed Valley, with a score to settle against the opposition. (which NJ will ensure is channelled correctly!)

Some of our fans have really “drank the cool aid” on Jones over the past few months!

I was being ironic - Aneke's gonna do what he's gonna do!

Over on Twitter Peter Varney is saying Terry Taylor is eligible for the play offs. I’m sceptical about that but would be interesting if he is

Yeah not sure I see that being the case
