Season ticket holder but not going as my dad goes in for his hip replacement operation next Monday, and won’t be able to get to the game, so didn’t seem right to go and will watch it with him at his.

Hopefully we can get to Wembley and he’s mobile/feeling able enough to go

Will certainly be strange not being there, but since the start of 2023 I have had to cut back on home games anyway due to family duties, so have gotten use to it.

Hopefully I can make it this time around

The night before the Doncaster home game I had one of the biggest fits of my life and had to miss the game, need to try and control my stress levels this time around 🫣🫣

I am sorry to hear that, I hope you have the situation under control.  Take care.

Thanks, I'm epileptic so unfortunately fits are expected every now and then, it's normally pretty well controlled unless I get over stressed, I don't remember feeling more stressed than normal that day lol but gonna try and be extra careful this year, a few walks the day before and the breathing @_MrDick recommended

I'm a ST holder but we are not attending as I'm out the country. I had a go at trying to buy a ticket in my usual seat out of curiosity and it wasnt an obvious process and I suspect it's confused a few people. I got there in the end, and backed out so I know at least a block if four seats in upper north will be free.

By my maths there could be about 2,000 tickets available on WEdnesday if this sample is representative - (2%+10%)/(2%+10%+40%)*8,000 =12/52*8,000= roughly 2,000

Managed to schedule a work trip overseas to clash with the home leg, and unlikely to get a ticket for Sunday. First really significant matches I've missed since Bolton away cup quarter final. A trip to Wembley would be a more than decent consolation, although I looked at some photos from the aftermath of the Doncaster game and can't help feeling a bit gutted about the possibility of missing out on something similar.

My brother pointed out earlier that we had less than 15000 for the home leg of the Shrewsbury play off in 2018. Also, only 21500 V Swindon when we were still a "recently in the Premier League" club. Not sure what to make of that, and why the demand for Doncaster/Sunderland and Wycombe/hopefully Orient or Stockport after Wycombe was/is so much greater than those previous games, but it's really exciting that we can sell so many tickets so quickly after nearly 2 decades that have mostly been crap on the pitch and catastrophic of it.

I hope we do it. I'm not greedy, but we don't belong on this division. Would love to be an established Championship club that looks up rather than down.

Is there anything in the 'lost generation' of selhurst/upton fans now having kids who are coming back to the valley? My old and I were discussing this the other day. I reckon sadly our fan base skipped a generation almost

Season ticket holder who bought a different seat as mine was shown unavailable, phone call tomorrow to claim my original seat.
Shouldn't you be doing that today?
If you wait till after 11 tomorrow it will be back on the market won't it?

Well I would love two tickets, preferably two together.
If any season ticket holder that unfortunately can't attend can find away for me to take them off your hands, for a price of course I would be very grateful.
    DM me.

For a price? Surely the price should be face value? There seems to be too many people too keen to shift on a ticket for a profit and we’re talking about fan to fan here

Not sure that's the case. Certainly not on here from what I've seen. Pretty fair bunch over here.

I reckon more than 1,000 will become available on Wednesday.

I feel more people on CL would have been able to purchase their own S/T seat, after helpful advice from others.

I wouldn't have known to switch to Safari if it wasn't for CL.

Yes, that’s roughly around the figure I think it would be. I think 2,000 that someone else suggested would be too much.

Poll suggests around 14% of ST holders not taking their reserved seat

I'm in that boat. My son and I are season ticket holders in the family stand (incredible value, not so incredible view). More than happy to sit elsewhere for a game of this magnitude.

The poll suggests that 51/181 ST seats will be available right? A much higher percentage and probably nearer to that 2000 estimate

Non ST holder, VG member - not going and watching on Charlton TV - country not decided yet but probably Germany.
  • I’m a season ticket holder & purchased mine online on Sunday afternoon. Got my usual seat after checking with the guy I sit next to as to how you can actually get your seat ( he messaged me to say he had got his). I’ve got to say it was far from clear about how you have to click the word ‘here’ in the red box , which said something along the lines about getting your ticket for special events & the word ‘here’ wasn’t standing out or underlined so you wouldn’t automatically think ‘I need to click on that ‘ so without his help I may well have tried to purchase a seat elsewhere rather than my seat, so I’m not surprised some people have actually done just that. The procedure to obtain the ticket should be crystal clear & it really isn’t. I consider myself to be I.T literate but needed help. How many others were in the same boat ?

Best of luck with op.  My other half has had two total knee replacements and post op is knackering - both the exercise regime and walking on crutches.  Again, very best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Bought 4 tickets. Valley Gold members for years - no season tickest this season - but we have bought for 25/26.

Having worked Saturdays for the last 5 years, getting to games has been a nightmare for me, and as much as I don't want to be a "where were you on the cold January nights?" supporter, I can't wait to get back there for this.

Way the poll is going does seem to suggest nearer the 2,000 mark.

Reckon a lot of people moved to be able to sit next to mates etc (ie buy a row of 4-6)..... meaning a lot of the released seats will be singles or doubles. All still adds up to a sell out I am sure, which is brilliant in any circumstance at League 1 level.

I do think it was much more to do with people thinking their seats were sold / unavailable and panicking and buying elsewhere.

Dont blame anyone btw, the system is clunky, the instructions were poor, its a clear fail on the club part that has ultimately led to them having to deal with a huge amount of issues and additional work
