I’m a season ticket holder & purchased mine online on Sunday afternoon. Got my usual seat after checking with the guy I sit next to as to how you can actually get your seat ( he messaged me to say he had got his). I’ve got to say it was far from clear about how you have to click the word ‘here’ in the red box , which said something along the lines about getting your ticket for special events & the word ‘here’ wasn’t standing out or underlined so you wouldn’t automatically think ‘I need to click on that ‘ so without his help I may well have tried to purchase a seat elsewhere rather than my seat, so I’m not surprised some people have actually done just that. The procedure to obtain the ticket should be crystal clear & it really isn’t. I consider myself to be I.T literate but needed help. How many others were in the same boat ?
I suppose the question has to be, why were seats that were not ST's even available for purchase on that day?

Way the poll is going does seem to suggest nearer the 2,000 mark.

Reckon a lot of people moved to be able to sit next to mates etc (ie buy a row of 4-6)..... meaning a lot of the released seats will be singles or doubles. All still adds up to a sell out I am sure, which is brilliant in any circumstance at League 1 level.
I do think it was much more to do with people thinking their seats were sold / unavailable and panicking and buying elsewhere.

Dont blame anyone btw, the system is clunky, the instructions were poor, its a clear fail on the club part that has ultimately led to them having to deal with a huge amount of issues and additional work
If thats the case there could be even more coming on the market than expected.... I do still tend to trust Charlton Life polls as a decent guide, hence the 2k guess. Like I say, we tend to get every election exit poll on the nose as well.

So season ticket holders could buy additional tickets, of course.

Maybe it would've been an idea to not allow any extra tickets purchases until after you had secured your ST seats?

And what if you didn't want to sit in your ST seat so that you could bring along someone else?

Still don’t understand why the club can’t put out numbers if seats sold / expect to be free ti sell tomorrow.

Start looking now people. Don't wait until tomorrow. Tickets are popping up sporadically on the OS as people swap back to their ST seats.

ST and VG but not going (reluctantly).  Thursday night is not convenient and where I live will mean a midnight return to home.  Will watch on Sky.

Nope staying home to watch it on stream

Watched all the other games that way, so will do the same with the Play-Offs this season
I appreciate your dedication to superstition.

Not attending due to living 5,000 miles away. BUT, if we make it to Wembley, I might try flying over...

If it goes to pens… 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m a fair old drive away too. Thankfully I can WFH the next day and avoid a 5am start!

Really don't think so. No doubt 5k were initially unable to get their ST seat and bought elsewhere but I believe many have resolved that today and sold back the seats they bought. The problem is the club have been reselling them today as they became available. I don't think they are holding them all back and releasing them all at 11 AM.
So all that will be left are those that are happy to sit in their newly acquired seat or those that genuinely can't /won't attend imo.
