I haven't been able to get to many games this season for personal reasons, so I have to wait for Tuesday's phase before I can purchase tickets.
Hoping for 3 seats next to each and don't mind where we sit as long as we get in.
Reckon I've got a good chance? I'm starting to worry with how fast tickets are selling
Even if we sell our allocation I'm almost certain we'll get some of Orient's 36K. They only managed to sell 10k By this morning and have been selling for a day longer than us. No way they sell 30K & I think they'll struggle to sell 25K.
Do we know if there have been any precedents for this?
I know Forest got no extra tickets for the 2022 play off final despite Huddersfield having swathes of empty seats - but perhaps this was because Hudds sold their seats ad hoc across the blocks anticipating close to sell out , Vs this time it sounds like they have controlled it a bit in the Orient end to pre empt the possibility
3 years ago, Sunderland v Wycombe.
"Sunderland received an initial allocation of 37,480 tickets for the final which was subsequently increased to 43,960 due to high demand. Wycombe Wanderers were initially given 19,205 tickets and applied for an extra allocation, eventually selling more than 22,000".
To be honest, an increased allocation for a play off final is going to be quite rare as in the Championship most clubs are big enough to sell 36k, and at our level there's not many clubs who can shift 36k to then require more.
we got more tickets last time we were at Wembley didn’t we?
Yeah i think we got given a very small amount of extra tickets and took 38k
If it was up to me, I'd be in the upper tier, best view of the game. Unfortunately, someone I'm with has a fear of heights so it's a no go.
There isn't a bad seat in the house to watch Charlton at Wembley, come on.
The first 10 or so rows behind the goals are generally awful. You’re sort of almost below pitch level and have absolutely no idea what is going on at the opposite end.
That's why I've gone right for the back of 132, should be able to get a decent enough view of the opposite end, and the atmosphere will hopefully be good.
Perfect.
I’m being a proper digital illiterate, but when I google Wembley seat view, I just get an overhead view of my block as opposed to what the view of the pitch looks like from my seat 😂
if anyone would be grateful to share the right link, that would be appreciated

My fan id still has no season ticket assigned to it My fan ID doesn't acknowledge my Valley Gold membership Wembley still not responded to my enquiry about a box for 20 Phone number for the hospitality is a recorded message saying how closed they are Chat bot for Hospitality has a link for your enquiry. That link doesn't work.
So glad the £15k a year on season tickets that we spend is acknowledged.
Would imagine you could hire as many boxes as you want, the vast majority were empty in 2019.
Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I haven't seen it. One of the guys I sit with has bought 4 tickets but accidently made 2 of them over 65 tickets, is there a way to 'upgrade' them back to a regular adult ticket?
I haven't seen this on the website, changing price type appears to be disabled. I think it's a phone call to the ticket office, who I'm certain will be able to resolve.
Edit - am working my way through the thread, some posts suggest no changes allowed. Still worth a courteous call to the ticket office I reckon, seems daft to force groups to split up and rebuy tickets elsewhere instead of upgrading or, e.g. switching an Under 17 to an Over 65. I'm sure plenty of honest mistakes will be made this weekend, including some downgrades needing rectifying.
Glad they sorted it out, when I asked Thursday night I was told it didn’t count.
Not sure to what extent Clare at NAAddicks swayed it but I know she made the very reasonable point to Tom Rubashow that a streaming subscription is over £200 a year and therefore in the ball park of some season tickets to the Valley. I was limited to less tickets than if I’d been a season ticket holder but it was enough for what I need and means I’m not left regretting booking flights in faith that I’d get tickets. I think it’s fair and thank the club for doing it. It’s shows they do listen to feedback sometimes.
Gotta love the system. Doesn't recognise my dad's Valley Gold so the restricted sale button is greyed out. And no one available at the club to help sort it out.
I think they've been responding to emails today... but I'm guessing processing them in order recieved.
do you have any concept of how many different CAFC fans might have attended games this season? Obviously you have 8,500ish STHs but then the match by match sales, I guess there are many fans who might have attended only 1 or 2 or handful of matches.
No real reason for the question other than wondering out of interest as a comparison! E.g. if circa 25,000 CAFC fans have watched us at home at some point during this season, Vs whatever the final tally of our Wembley sales is.
Not really. I don’t think the club does either. There will be swathes of people who have bought tickets without allocating them, so there is no way of knowing how much duplication there is. You could probably come up with a minimum number using purchase records but a maximum would be hard.
i think we also assume it’s easier to define a fan than it is. Partners, friends and tourists may not be fans, but if they have attended once or more are they included? How many times makes them a fan?
I’ve never really been convinced by the idea of “hangers-on” at big games either. There won’t be many in the Charlton area who are there to support Orient or vice versa. How do we measure their fandom?
There are millions who would say they support teams but never attend at all.

I hate the term “hangers on” every single one of us was that once ! Of those people attending this Sunday some of them will become (unfortunately for them lol) fans of the future ! As we have witnessed our fan base has been dwindling in recent years we need to encourage a few more “hangers on”

Hmmm
I don’t normally criticise the priority levels as I think in the main they are fair but I’m not sure paying £200 to watch on TV is comparable to someone spending money on a ST, travelling to and from the game every week, potentially spending more on food, drink, programmes etc, and also its in the ball park the cheapest season tickets, some people pay £450+ but they’re not given any higher priority.
Just using my Dad as an example, pays for a season ticket, gets the valley express in to every game which I think is £16 a go on top. It’s surely about more than just the cost of a ticket.
Personally I’m not sure it’s right season ticket holders should be competing for the better seats with people who watch from an armchair 100s of miles away.

Still, decision is made now.
Trivial number tbf.
Of course, doesn’t mean it’s the right decision.
Perhaps phase 3 could have been Charlton TV subscribers AND Valley Gold, just a fairer comparable in my opinion.

But agree it shouldn't be hard work for you!
