    Those that feel this isn't the right thing for a Div 3 club are missing the point. If we were in the Prem and looking to fly to an away match, not only would the club be be able to afford it - there would be sponsors queuing up to pay the cost of the charter.

    I feel that we all have the right to choose what to spend our money on. Let's not complain if some choose to spend it on our club.

    If this was the only way for fans to have contact with the board, the management or the players then the bleats of "elitist" might hold some water. But as that isn't the case and you can meet all three for nothing or a minimal anount all year round it is just rubbish. We have affordable tickets for home games and cheap travel to away games so there is fair access.

For just £1,999 (exclusive of VAT), I will pick you up at your house (as long as within 50 mile radius of The Valley), drive you to the game in a nice car, allow you to choose which radio station you listen to (as long as it isn't Radio 1), a limited amount of intelligent conversation, provide breakfast at Scratchwood Services, 5 star overnight accommodation, a ticket for the game, a match programme and a red and white scarf as well as a chance to have an autograph photograph of you sitting on the bonnet of my car.     That's not so bad - when I went to New Zealand, my connecting flight was in a 16 seater (8 rows of 1 seat either side of the aisle).

    I've been up in a microlight which was weird to say the least and also looped the loop in a Bulldog stunt plane. No one had warned me before hand that I would be required to wear a parachute either not that I'd have had a clue what to do with it!

    I've been on one of those things twice, it has propellers and shakes you about like no body's business! Nicer than a Greyhound coach though!
